Our very own Dr. Veronica Gomez, MDOPA VP and Treasurer, along with past and present MDOPA board members, attended this years annual convention and banquet in Orlando, Florida. Everyone enjoyed continued education, legislative updates, and the induction of the new FOA board. It was a wonderful night!

The Miami Ophthalmological Society (MOS) Meeting this week was a huge success! Dr. Loh, immediate past President of MOS, presented the talk by Orasis for Qlosi “A New Option For Presbyopia” and Dr Sonia Yoo and Brown university student Noah Karp Cohen (son of Dr Carol Karp) gave the academic presentation “Factors Predicting Visual Satisfaction After Refractive Surgery” based on an exciting study they’ve been working on. We loved being a part of this wonderful event and seeing all our local south FL ophthalmology colleagues!

Our Collaboration networking community in Doral was a success last night! joined our friends as well as and hosted a fun, casual networking event for all of our colleagues and friends in Doral. It was a gentle reminder that we need to take some time and just spend time together, which helps us relieve our every day stress!!

Dr. Loh attended the AECOS 2025 Summer Symposium where she helped moderate a session on Challenging Surgical Cases. She also spent time with our new associate, glaucoma sub specialist Dr. Natalie DeBolske MD, who was accepted and attended the prestigious AECOS Cedars Aspens mentorship program!! Dr DeBolske just finished her glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer University in glaucoma and will start seeing patients at in October 🎉

Dr Jennifer Loh presented at the meeting this past weekend! She had fun speaking on Dry Eye therapies with some incredible colleagues - Dr. Eric Donnenfeld and Dr. Brandon Ayres.
Dr. Loh participated in the Surgical Videos symposium and presented on IOL exchange.

She also had the honor to be part of Dr Dick Mackool’s cataract surgery symposium of the “Complex and Bizarre” and presented a case!

👀 “After my four years of college, I moved back home and began to notice that my vision was getting progressively worse. I needed to wear my glasses more to see things from afar, whether it was to see a presentation at work, watch a show on TV or even seeing myself clearly in the mirror during a workout class.
