YIN + RESTORATIVE YOGA TRAINING

This combined training will provide provides participants with an understanding of how the nervous system and subtle energy body relate to the physical body. Participants will learn:
• Background theory and history
• How restorative and yin poses, in their own way, can be used to bring balance, inner stillness, and replenish our essential energy (prana).
• How to guide others into these poses by using your voice, appropriate verbal cueing, and props.
• How to tune in to the subtle energy of the practitioner, therefore developing an ability to sense subtler, yet deep, misalignments and offering minor modifications to achieve a general sense of well being.

WHO IS THIS FOR:
This training is designed for new and experienced yoga teachers as well as health professionals, movement professionals and anyone interested in helping others manage stress, reduce anxiety levels and bring a general state of wellbeing to themselves and others.

Lecture, demonstration, practice, partnered exercises and practice, discussions, questions and answers

* Foundations and principles
* The body’s relaxation response
* The nervous system and the subtle body
* Neurological, physical, psychological, and energetic principles
* Anatomy in yin
* Observing bodies to determine appropriate posture and modifications for individuals
* Basic sequencing
* Find your voice and apply verbal cueing
* How to incorporate restorative yoga in other traditional styles (vinyasa, hatha)
* Teacher-student relationship
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE:
Upon completion of this training you will receive a Certificate of Completion for 10 contact hours.
This training is 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. You can use the completion of this Module towards your 300 Hour Certification with Bodhi Yoga.
