At Gaumard, we have a global commitment to health care educators.
Gaumard is committed to providing innovative simulation solutions for health care education. Our products today are built on a foundation of knowledge and experience in maternal, neonatal, emergency, nursing, respiratory, life support, trauma and surgical simulation that spans over 65 years. We offer unrivaled tetherless “Care in Motion” simulation technology that allows care givers the opportunity to treat simulators like real people in any teaching environment.
Gaumard Scientific traces its history to 1946 when its founder, a World War II trauma physician, recognized how polymers used in reconstructive and battlefield surgery could be used to create simulators for health care education. The first product was a synthetic human skeleton. In 1949, Gaumard introduced a childbirth simulator, designed at the request of the international health community, to improve the clinical competence of village midwives to reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity.
In 2000, Gaumard launched the revolutionary family of NOELLE® maternal and neonatal care simulators that changed the way training is conducted. In 2004, Gaumard pioneered the use of fully tetherless technology with the introduction of the family of HAL® simulators. In 2014, the company introduced Victoria®, its most advanced, mobile maternal/fetal simulator as part of the NOELLE family. Gaumard manufactures its products at its world headquarters in Miami. The company sells simulators through its own representatives in North America and through 200 distributors in 70 countries.
