How anxious would I be, O my beloved parent, if now of matured understanding I could shew thee more love and tenderness, more respect and obedience, were I so happy as yet to possess thee! Bronx VA 2007: I got the first delivery of Hyaluronic Acid into the plastic surgery clinic we staffed there as plastic surgery residents of the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine. They were approved for patients with facial wasting after AZT (an early anti-retroviral HIV treatment). We had injected a lot of and there in the past, but this was the first time we got , and (only 3 available HA fillers back then) shipped to that specific clinic. We had access to these in our cosmetic clinic in Manhattan, but not before in the Bronx. To my knowledge, I was the first one there to try to order it through pharmacy. I kept ordering it and thought it would never be delivered. Eventually, it was delivered in several bulk shipments that came in containers the size of a wheelbarrow. This then became routine and rather busy as many of the career military vested were allowed to receive this treatment as a benefit. Shortly after this photo was taken, I had some initial regret as the injection clinics would often run late into the evenings of what was an already busy work week and Resident lifestyle. Looking back at this old photo now I think of how fortunate I am to have trained for the volume of experience treating these patients and the superior guidance that I received. The technical skills and the clinical judgement that I developed over those 6 years working my ass off in has helped me enormously with my Plastic surgery practice today. Having performed thousands of injections and countless operations over the last 14 years, I know that everything I’ve done, both reconstructive and and aesthetic, falls back to the basic principles that I learn during those long hours - too many to count. You play like you practice. Thank you

Privileged to have been able to present my Mammary Imbrication Lift & Fixation Technique and my latest explant safety data at the 16th Annual American - Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting in Park City ⛷️ . Such a great meeting with amazing surgeons (and fantastic skiers) from all over the world.
