Our Story

Dr. Peter Khamvongsa is a dedicated and compassionate physician who is double boarded in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He is known for his expertise in Minimally Invasive Surgery and care of complex obstetrical patients.

Dr. Khamvongsa is involved in teaching other surgeons new techniques and collaborates with other surgeons in the country. He has published several papers in peer reviewed journals, and is a retired Commander of the United States Navy. He is also a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, The American College of Surgeons and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. He is an Associate Professor of OBGYN at Florida International University The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine as well as member of many local and international societies such as ASCCP, AUGS, AAGL, SLS, SGS, ISSVD to name a few. He is fluent in Spanish and French and works at the Baptist Hospital of Miami and West Kendall Baptist Hospital
