Isabella “Izzy” Lopez, Peer Specialist with the Thriving Mind Peer Department, conducted a collaborative site visit to The Living Room at New Horizons, one of our valued provider partners. During her visit, Izzy met with Sherria Slaughter and Nadine Hagans, both peer specialists employed at The Living Room and pictured alongside her.

The purpose of the visit was to continue strengthening the connection between Thriving Mind and our provider network by offering direct support, sharing resources, and reinforcing the essential role peers play across our system of care. Izzy spent time learning about current peer-led initiatives at The Living Room, discussing opportunities for continued growth, and exploring ways to enhance communication and collaboration between teams.

This visit reflects Thriving Mind’s ongoing commitment to uplifting peer specialists, fostering a unified peer community, and ensuring that providers feel supported in delivering compassionate, recovery oriented services.
