Surgical PA— Lung Transplant & Thoracic Surgery
Jackson Memorial/UM Health 🏥 & Miami Transplant Institute 🌴

Allie Clayton, PA-C, is a surgical PA specializing in Lung Transplant and Thoracic Surgery at Jackson Memorial/UM Health and the Miami Transplant Institute.

A Florida State 🎓 alum with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology, she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine 🐊.

Graduating at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic 🦠, Allie was rapidly pulled from her surgical residency to support ECMO and lung transplant cases during the crisis. Since 2020, she has first-assisted in complex surgeries 🫁, managed ICU patients, performed bedside procedures and ECMO cannulations, and served on-call as a vital part of the transplant team.

Allie is also a passionate educator 📚 and guest lecturer at the UF PA School, advocating for the specialized field of ECMO and lung transplant within the PA profession.

She thrives on the complexity of her work — and the opportunity to help give patients a second chance at life ❤️‍🩹.

Outside of medicine, Allie is an early riser 🌅, fitness lover 🏃‍♀️💪, and dog mom 🐶🐶 to two German Shorthaired Pointers. She enjoys exploring Miami’s food scene 🍽️ and wellness community ✨ with her fiancé, a fellow PA.
