In November 2016, during my daily Ashtanga Yoga practice, on my 3rd Surya Namaskara, I, Caro Balan, made a pivotal decision. I resolved to prioritize self-love and respect, letting go of a life that didn’t serve my true essence or dreams. In 2018, I founded my own yoga Shala, Miami Vedic Center, in a Miami suburb, fostering a close-knit community and fulfilling my calling as a yoga teacher. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of my beloved Shala in 2020. Despite this setback, I found new purpose as an Esthetician, opening Dharma Skin, a business I’m passionate about. Amidst these changes, I’ve held onto a cherished dream: Art4Yoga. This project, born from love and inspiration, aims to unite art and yoga in a global community.
