This week, we incorporated Eucharistic Adoration into our weekly Rosary in the Grotto, creating an extended opportunity for prayer.

Students and Team OLLA gathered in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament for Exposition, the Rosary and Benediction, creating a meaningful space to pause, reflect and encounter Christ in prayer.

Today, during FOCUS, our juniors met with the School Counseling Department for a conversation focused on building a strong, effective resume.

Through this session, students explored how to highlight their experiences, strengths and accomplishments in a way that reflects who they are and where they hope to go. From structuring content to identifying meaningful involvement, the discussion offered practical guidance as they begin preparing for the college application process and future opportunities.

Spirit Week fun continues with today’s dress-up theme, Lourdes Leisure.

From Bobcat sweats to Bobcats jammies, our girls brought the boutique to life showing off their school spirit in every outfit. It’s another day of laughter, sisterhood and as we keep the momentum going for Spirit Day tomorrow.

An ode to the ode

Left quietly in a corner,
where footsteps pass but rarely pause,
a single loafer rests
like a memory that refused to be packed away.

Once part of every hallway rhythm,
every uniformed morning,
every step taken between classes
and everything in between.

No longer part of the daily routine,
but still called back when it counts.

Because some things don’t disappear.
They just wait for their moment.

P.S. Swipe left for the original poem. If the author of this masterpiece would like to step forward, our DMs are open.

Tune in to Ms. Michelle Garcia-Bode ’96’s Lourdes Singers II class, where students rehearsed the National Anthem, in anticipation of last week’s Honor Society Induction.

With a focus on tone, blend and precision, our singers worked together to bring the piece to life, strengthening their vocal techniques.

Today, we celebrated America’s 250th anniversary of independence, surrounded by our students’ work and the spirit of this meaningful milestone as a school community.

Spearheaded by our Social Studies Department, this interdisciplinary experience brought together participation from across our academic departments. The event featured thoughtful displays on the Founding Fathers, Entrepreneurs Who Shaped a Nation, a Hamilton-inspired showcase and more, highlighting the creativity and insight of our students.

Thank you to our Social Studies Department for leading this effort and to all who contributed to an experience that invited our girls to explore the history, values and ideas that continue to shape our nation, while reflecting on the role they play in its future.

Today, we celebrate Administrative Professionals Day and recognize the incredible women who help our school bloom each day.

Their dedication, organization and constant support do not go unnoticed. From the front office to school counseling, they are the steady presence behind so much of what we do and their care helps our community flourish.

We are grateful for all they do for our students, faculty and the life of our school.

Today, we welcomed OLLA FAB networking section leads Angie (Llaca) Schneider ’89 and Carolina Lopez-Varela ’19 to speak with our students about the many paths available to those interested in pursuing business in college.

Through their insights and experiences, our girls explored the breadth of opportunities within the field. It was a meaningful opportunity to learn from alumnae who have navigated these decisions themselves and to gain a clearer understanding of how their interests can take shape in the future.
