Our Medical Education department is dedicated to reach out to current trainees, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and applicants on news and events.

Welcome to the Medical Education Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital! We are a 309-bed free standing, children's hospital which is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine. We have more than 750 attending physicians and over 130 pediatric sub-specialists. We are home to the largest pediatric residency program in the Southeast with 84 pediatric residents. We also have fellowship programs in Adolescent Medicine, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Allergy/Immunology, Gastroenterology, pediatric Psychiatry, Genetics, Pediatric surgery, craniofacial surgery, clinical neurophysiology, pediatric radiology, pediatric cardiac intensive care, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric ortho-spine and pediatric urology. Last weekend, our residents came together to support Bear Necessities: a Nicklaus Children’s fund that helps patient families access essential items not covered by insurance, including prescriptions, baby formula, and other necessities 💛

By easing financial barriers during critical times, Bear Necessities helps families focus on what matters most: caring for their child.

We’re proud to stand behind a fund that keeps our patients’ needs at the center of their care, inside the hospital and beyond 🧸💕

PGY1 Camila Gallegos Caicedo, PGY2 Andrea Belen Moscoso, and PGY3 Christian Martinez joined the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk" with our Nicklaus family this past weekend as part of their Resident Engagement in Advocacy and Community Health (REACH) rotation.

We walked to raise awareness, honor survivors, and celebrate hope — all while having so much fun together!

Grateful to be part of a team that shows up inside and outside the hospital 💪💕
