Our Residential Reentry Program supports men and women transitioning from prison back into the community, one step, one goal, one restored life at a time.

While living at Riverside House, residents receive personalized support in areas like employment, life skills, family reunification, and substance abuse counseling. They also participate in group and individual services to help them build a solid foundation for the future.

At the heart of it all is a message of God’s forgiveness and the belief that everyone deserves a second chance.💙

At the Riverside Emergency Shelter, we welcome individuals experiencing homelessness who are ready to rebuild their lives, but many arrive with little more than the clothes they’re wearing.

Something as simple as a clean shirt or a pair of shoes can make a world of difference. It’s all about restoring dignity, comfort, and the confidence to move forward.

We’re currently in need of:

👕 White T-shirts (M, L, XL)
👖 Sweatpants (M, L, XL – black preferred)
👟 Men’s shoes (sizes 9–12)

If you feel led to give or organize a drive, know that your generosity directly supports someone’s reentry journey and their chance at a new beginning.

If you can donate or know someone who can, please reach out to Carlos Rocha, Program Director of Riverside House Emergency Shelter:

On July 10th, our very own Michelle Jenkins-Taylor, Life Skills Coach and Special Events Coordinator, was honored by Optimal Health Medical Center for her unwavering dedication to Riverside House and the lives she impacts every day.💙

Michelle’s passion for service, mentorship, and creating meaningful experiences for our residents is felt throughout our entire community. We’re so proud to see her recognized by a partner who shares our heart for restoration and holistic care.

Several of our residents had the opportunity to attend the event alongside our CEO, Mr. Bell, and we’re grateful to Optimal Health Med for extending the invitation and providing transportation. Their commitment to community and personalized, whole-person care truly aligns with our mission.

Congratulations, Michelle! Thank you for continuing to shine your light.✨

Earlier this year, we were blessed by the incredible students from Georgia Southern University’s CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ), who came to Riverside House with open hearts and a strong desire to serve. Their visit reminded us that volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission and that no time is ever too small when it comes to giving someone a second chance.💙

As we enter the second half of the year, we’re inviting you to be part of what’s ahead.

🤝 Volunteer with us, whether it's monthly, weekly, or even just once.

Attending a Celebrate Recovery Meeting offers a supportive environment where you don't have to face your struggles alone. 💙

Celebrate Recovery is for everyone, providing a grace-filled community where individuals courageously confront their pain and the negative perceptions they may have about themselves, God, and others. This biblically based approach fosters long-lasting recovery by healing your hurts, guiding you towards new, healthy truths, and helping you develop life-giving habits. 🌟

“I needed a place where I could be comfortable, relax, and start planning the rest of what I had to do.”

When Patrick came to Riverside House, he wasn’t just reentering society; he was fighting cancer, rebuilding his life, and searching for stability. What he found here was more than a roof over his head. He found respect, compassion, and a community that stood by him 100%.

His story is a powerful reminder that reentry is about more than housing; it’s about being seen as more than your past.💙

Our Mission & Vision

Mission: Riverside House exists to guide men and women convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens through a non-denominational, faith-based approach.

Vision: That all individuals, whether imprisoned in mind or spirit, will lead positive and productive lives when given the opportunity to succeed. Riverside House seeks to change the lives of at-risk individuals (regardless of gender or culture) through community and residential programs that emphasize personal accountability, family relationships, and spiritual growth.

We envision a future where the formerly incarcerated are good citizens and neighbors – productive, educated, with strong family and spiritual values, playing an equal role in contributing to a safe and vibrant community.
