TCAR is a new alternative in treatment of carotid artery stenotic disease to reduce risk of stroke. The key difference is the flow reversal technology which temporarily reverse at the direction of flow in the carotid artery, to prevent debris going to the brain while revascularization is done with angioplasty and stenting.

FIRST IN FLORIDA!! We did the first case, using the new TigerEye Lumivascular OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) crossing system, today. Successfully got flow into the leg thru a heavily calcified blocked artery that previously we wouldn’t be able to cross.

I plan to save a lot of limbs using this new technology!

History making FIRST in Miami and Miami-Dade County Florida. We did the first three Lumivascular Artherectomies at our practice this past week. It’s basically minimally invasive live visualizing of disease causing blockages INSIDE the artery using computerized light technology. This increases the accuracy and success of increasing blood flow while decreasing complications.

This is me and the highly skilled team involved. Congrats team!

Me on the Davinci Xi Surgical Robot. It’s the latest version of the Davinci HD Surgical System. Much more user friendly and with many more features that helps the surgeon (me) help the patient.

I am seeing an increase in uninsured patients, usually younger, who have major illnesses. As a physician that cares, it's really difficult to help these human beings who don't have health care insurance. It saddens and disturbs me.
