The Tragic Irony Behind Keytruda

It’s shocking how close we came to losing a potential cancer breakthrough. Keytruda—now a cash cow for Merck—spent far too long collecting dust in a forgotten pipeline. Let that sink in: a life-saving treatment was nearly tossed aside because a giant pharmaceutical company didn’t see its worth.

Worse yet? The public helped bankroll its revival. Government funds covered about a quarter of Keytruda’s development costs, fast-tracking the drug to approval. But who reaps the biggest rewards now? Merck. Meanwhile, patients often face enormous treatment bills.

A new federal rule from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is changing lives by removing certain medical debts from credit reports! 🎉 This means higher credit scores—an average boost of 20 points—and 22,000 more mortgages approved every year. 🏡

However, there’s a catch: debts tied to medical credit cards aren’t included in this rule.

This is a big step toward financial freedom for many Americans dealing with the burden of medical debt. 💡 What do you think about this change? Share your thoughts below! 👇
