Last week one of our body faculty members, Dr. Gill
MPH, MD was a speaker/moderator at an event for the World Diabetes Foundation: ‘Type 1 Diabetes – Advancing a Global Road Map for Improved and Integrated Care in Low-Resource Settings’.

Dr. Gill is from Venezuela with further training in Body Imaging at Yale University and an MPH from Harvard University.

She is our Associate Clinical Professor in Radiology at the University of Miami and Policlinica Metropolitana de Venezuela. 💊☢️🩻

As the Co-Founder and International Director of Guerreros Azules, a private foundation established to enhance the lives of children living with type 1 Diabetes in Venezuela, Dr. Gill has dedicated her efforts to this important cause since 2016.

Dr. Gill is also the mother of four daughters, two of whom have been living type 1 Diabetes since they were four years old. 🩸🧑‍🧑‍🧒

✨Congratulations to two of our faculty members, Dr. Jose (MSK) and Dr. Castillo (Body Imaging), for completing the UM LEAD program.

As per the UM LEAD program: “In this intensive hands-on virtual program, you will learn to use leadership competencies effectively, manage within the law, deliver powerful feedback, coach, and gain commitment from employees.” 🙌
