You know the pain, but do you know the name? 🦵
Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome is the medical term for "Shin Splints." It’s an inflammatory condition caused by repetitive stress on the shin bone and the connective tissues that attach your muscles to the bone.
It's incredibly common in January (thanks to New Year's resolutions!), but it doesn't have to stop you.
We treat this by correcting your biomechanics—sometimes with prescription orthotics—and guiding you through a strengthening plan so the pain doesn't come back.
