Time to talk about office snacks! It’s great the corporate offices give a ton of snacks to their employees, but it can get dangerous really quickly. There’s so many high sugar ju**ie options to choose from. And if you don’t balance, your macro nutrients, not only are you gonna fall off of your body position goals, but you are going to have blood sugar spikes that affect your mood and your ability to focus.

Creatine can be helpful after surgery but it’s not a top priority in the healing process. Because there’s so many other nutrients to take we usually wait to start with creatine until after 6 weeks or when you start back at the gym.

Yes the law of thermodynamics is the gold standard when it comes to weight loss or weight gain, but there are other things at a car which can play a role in affect affecting your metabolism. Some days I just need to mix it up. My heart lays in sports performance training. I lift heavy at least 3 days per week, I do sprints one day and plyo training also 3 days mixed in. I always listen to what my body wants. Today it was fast movements and not heavy weights .

Plyometrics are one of the most effective ways to protect fast-twitch muscle fibers and bone mineral density during perimenopause.

For my friends who aren’t there yet - built all you can now so you can still train like an athlete when you’re late 40s and 50s (and hopefully 60-70s)

What are essential amino acids EAAs and branch chain amino acids BCAAs ?

The most current research shows us that if you’re eating a diet that is high in complete protein you actually do not need to take amino acids. But there are a few situations where I do recommend them and that would be a vegan diet extend extended periods of time with exercise and no food, as well as after an injury or surgery. After surgery, our body metabolizes amino acids differently and some amino acids become conditionally essential meaning instead of our body, making them we have to provide them. There’s also an extra demand for protein and amino acids after surgery because our body is working to repair tissue.
