We work often with athletes who have gut health problems. Sometimes we need to address them and make changed right away to have optimal performance . Other times we can wait until off season to address the issues and start eliminating foods. Some athletes never have an “off season” which means we need to implement a diet with less food variety that provides enough energy and micro nutrients to fuel an athlete at thier best level. It’s not always easy but it can always be done. I’ve had the most complex cases with the smallest variety of food and still fueled elite level athletes.
