Let’s cut to it.

If your back hurts, you’re not alone.

Over 80% of adults report back pain at some point in their lives.
And here’s the kicker…

44% of those people have had it for more than five years.

That’s half a decade of dull aches, sharp stabs, limited movement, and built-up frustration.

You might be one of them.
Or you’ve been one of them.
Or someone close to you is right in it now.

I see it every week.

And here’s what no one’s saying loudly enough:

Just because back pain is common doesn’t mean it’s normal.

There is a way out. I want to share how we got there with Kirsten.

Kirsten’s a talented video editor.
She works long hours behind a screen, hunched over, pouring her creativity into the timeline.

But under the surface, pain. Constant. Nagging. Deep.

She’d tried stretches. A standing desk. A few massages.
Nothing lasted. Nothing stuck.

Then she came to me.
We didn’t throw a bunch of exercises at her.
We didn’t just tape her up and send her off.

Instead, we used what I call the Tri-Phasic Approach.

Phase 1: Fix the Environment
The first thing we did wasn’t in her body.
It was in her world.

We looked at how she worked.

Her chair was too high.
Her desk tilted just enough to torque her neck after hours of use.
The lighting was harsh, keeping her body in a subtle fight-or-flight all day.

We adjusted her setup so her workstation fit her.
We softened the lights.
We added a few plants, yes, really. The kind that cleans the air and reminds you that you're alive.

That alone gave her body a chance to breathe again.

Phase 2: Restore the Body
Then we went in.

We released, realigned, and reactivated her back, neck, and hips.

No aggressive cracking. No overcomplicated routines.

Just consistent work to get her moving the way she was meant to.

Her posture improved.
Her breath got deeper.
The pain began to melt.

But the biggest shift came in the final phase…

Phase 3: Unpack the Emotional Load
Most people miss this one.

And it’s why their pain always comes back.

See, your body keeps the score. Every stress, every fear, every unresolved story gets stored in the tissues. Especially in the back.

So we went there.

Not with therapy sessions. But with curiosity. Breathwork. A space where she could release what she was holding—mentally and emotionally.

That’s when things really clicked.

Her pain didn’t just lessen, it vanished.

Not overnight but steadily.

Now, I don’t know where you are in your journey.
Maybe you’ve lived with back pain so long you think it’s just part of the deal.
Maybe you’ve tried all the usual fixes, and nothing’s worked.

But I promise you this:

Pain is a messenger. Not a life sentence.

Kirsten’s story isn’t unique. It’s just real.

And so is yours.

So if you're ready to stop managing pain and start eliminating it…
If you're open to doing things a little differently…
If you want to move, work, and live like your body was designed to…

Then maybe it’s time we talk.

Here’s your next step...

Back pain may be common. But staying in it? That’s optional.

"Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed."
— Martin Luther King Jr.

On July 4th, we lit fireworks, grilled burgers, and celebrated what we call freedom.

But let’s not forget something important…

Freedom always has a cost.

It’s easy to overlook that truth in the comfort of celebration.

But the men and women we honor on July 4th didn’t get to that barbecue without a battle.
They fought.
They bled.
Some never came back.

Why?

Because they believed the fight was worth it.
Because they knew freedom wasn’t handed out — it had to be earned.

And you know what?

The same holds true for your body.

Especially when it comes to pain.

Pain doesn’t play fair. It doesn’t give you a break because you’ve had a tough week.
Pain is an oppressor and it doesn’t want you free.

It wants you stuck.
It wants you living small...afraid to move, hope, and believe things could be different.

One of my clients, Sarah, knows this all too well.

She came to me after years of struggling with back pain.
Not just “occasional stiffness” kind of pain.

I’m talking about the kind of pain that made putting on shoes a 15-minute project.
The kind that made her afraid to pick up a grocery bag.
The kind that hijacked her days, forced her to lie down in the middle of work, shut down weekends, and slowly shrink her world.

She had dreams.

She wanted to have a family someday.
But pain had convinced her those dreams were off-limits.

She told me once, with tears in her eyes,
“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to carry a baby, or run, or even play with my kids.”

Pain had stolen more than her movement.
It had stolen her vision.

But she wasn’t done yet.

She was ready to fight.

So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

We walked through the Suffering to Unstoppable protocol. A process that’s about more than exercises or quick fixes.

It’s a system that peels back every layer of what’s holding you back...
Physical…
Mental…
Emotional…
Even spiritual.

And slowly, day by day, she reclaimed her freedom.

She did the work.
Even when it hurt.
Even when it felt impossible.
Even when doubt whispered in her ear.

And what happened?

Today, Sarah has two beautiful children whom she carried.
She runs.
She golfs.
She cycles.
She lifts more than her own bodyweight pain-free.

She’s stronger than ever.
She’s free.

Here’s what I want you to ask yourself:

Where in your life are you still living under the thumb of pain?
Where are you shrinking?
Where have you stopped believing that freedom is possible?

Because here’s the truth:

If you want freedom in your health…
If you want freedom in your movement…
If you want to live without fear of pain or limitation…

You’re going to have to fight for it.

Just like our forefathers did.
Just like Sarah did.

Freedom isn’t found in comfort.
It’s found in courage.

So today, I invite you to reflect:

👉 Where do you need to rise and fight for the freedom you want in your health and movement?

The good news?
You don’t have to do it alone.

But you do have to decide and act.

Let this be your Health Independence Day.

“Action is the foundational key to all success.” – Pablo Picasso

There’s a video I once saw.
It stuck with me.
Not because of the production value.
Not because of the camera angles.
But because it showed truth in its purest form.

It was filmed in Mexico, during a Good Friday procession. The crowd was reenacting the Passion of Christ. Jesus was being beaten by Roman soldiers. It was all part of the ritual, part of the story.

But there was one boy who couldn’t sit still and watch.

Juan Pablo, a young boy with Down syndrome, broke through the crowd. He ran towards Jesus, wrapped his arms around him, and shielded him from the soldiers.

This wasn’t staged. It wasn’t rehearsed.
It was real.
Raw.
Unfiltered.

Juan Pablo didn’t wait to be told what to do.
He saw suffering and acted.
He stepped into the scene when everyone else stood on the sidelines.

He refused to stay on the sidelines.

It reminded me of something my father told me when I was a boy.
Back then, I was afraid to dance.
Embarrassed.
Too self-conscious to move.
Too worried about what others might think.

My dad pulled me aside and said,
“Mandy, life isn’t about watching, it’s about dancing.”

He told me that if I wanted to connect with people, if I wanted joy and experiences, then...I had to step onto the floor even if I didn’t know the moves.

He laughed and said, “You want to talk to girls? Then dance. Most guys think they’re too cool. That’s your edge.”

So I did.
I started dancing at parties.
Sure, I stumbled.
I missed beats.
But something unexpected happened.
People noticed.
I laughed more.
I had fun.
And yes, I talked to more girls.

That lesson stuck with me far beyond middle school.
Because it’s not just about music.
It’s about motion.

Pain, physical, emotional, or spiritual, is like standing on the edge of that dance floor.
It keeps you frozen.
Thinking.
Watching.
Wishing things were different.

But thinking doesn’t change anything.
Watching won’t heal you.
Wishing won’t set you free.

Only action does.

Whether you’ve been living with chronic pain for 6 days or 6 years, there’s a moment when you realize...
No one is coming to rescue you but you can rescue yourself.

Like Juan Pablo running into that procession.
Like a nervous kid stepping into a dance floor.
Like any meaningful transformation you’ve ever had in your life.

It starts with a choice.

Not a perfect one.
Not one with all the answers.
But a bold, imperfect step forward.

So here’s the question:
Are you ready to get off the sidelines?

Are you ready to stop letting pain run your life?
Are you tired of missing out on moments because your body won’t cooperate or because fear keeps whispering, “Just wait a little longer…”?

If so, then let this be your moment.
Step onto the dance floor.
Take one bold move.

Because if you’re tired of being in pain…
It’s time to stop watching life from the sidelines.
It’s time to act.

☀️ A Farewell. A Beginning. A Moment to Reflect. ☀️

"We do not remember days, we remember moments." – Cesare Pavese

Sixteen years.
One building.
Thousands of stories.
And one last walk through the doors.

As I pack the last kettlebell, pull the final resistance band off the wall, and take in the echoes of effort and transformation in this space, something inside me stirs.

This is it.
It’s real now.

After 16 years, I’m closing the doors to the place that’s been my second home… and in many ways, my first classroom. Not the kind of classroom with desks and chalkboards, but one where pain turned into power, setbacks became comebacks, and strangers turned into family.

There’s excitement in my soul for what’s next.
And there’s also this quiet wave of gratitude washing over me.

I think back to the early days.

We didn’t have big signs or flashy marketing. Just a mission. A belief.
A handshake deal with Rosi and Carmen, no contracts, just good faith and trust.
That kind of thing is rare.
But it meant everything.

From that humble beginning grew a sanctuary.
A space where people came broken and left stronger.
Where movement was medicine.
Where laughter and sweat mixed in the air like salty air at the beach.

I’ve had the honor of helping hundreds, maybe thousands, of people not just get out of pain, but rediscover life on their terms.
Put on shoes without pain.
Run again.
Play with their kids again.
Hope again. Dream again.

As I carry out boxes, memories hit me like scenes from an old movie reel:

Watching my kids run across the floor. The many members who brought their kids to the gym set up a pack-n-play while they trained.

The high-level business coach who had to give a 6-hour workshop that night and couldn't stand straight from back pain. When I asked how she most wanted to feel when we were done. She responded, "bouncy and pain-free." That night she was both bouncy and pain-free.

The volleyball player who came in from the emergency room with debilitating back pain, left with no pain, and played that afternoon. She called me a witch.

The Group Training from the originals like Noel and Rick (Aka: Bandana Rick), to the multitude of amazing people that graced our doors over the years, including some fantastic coaches like Albert and Kira.

These are reminders of what’s possible when love leads, purpose fuels, and gratitude grounds.

Four Lessons from These Walls

I’ve thought a lot lately about what this space taught me.
What I’ve lived.
What I’ll carry forward.
Maybe it’ll serve you in your journey too.

1. Lead with love.
Real love. The kind that shows up, listens, and does the hard work.
When I say “lead with love,” I mean genuine presence.
Every person who walked through that door, I did my best to treat them like family.
That’s not just good business. That’s being human.

2. Do something you love.
Not because it’s easy. But because it’s worth it.
People say, “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
I disagree.
You will work. You’ll sweat. You’ll doubt.
But when you love it, you’ll keep going when most would quit.
That’s the difference.

3. Community is strength.
The programs grew. But what mattered most?
The people.
The hugs after breakthroughs.
The shared high-fives after milestones.
We became more than a gym. We became a tribe.
That kind of support changes everything.

4. Gratitude is the secret ingredient.
There were highs and lows. Wins and wounds.
But gratitude always pulled me forward.
It grounded me when things felt heavy.
It lifted me when fear whispered.
Gratitude isn’t passive.
It’s a discipline. It's a daily decision.

Now, a new chapter begins.

My new office feels like it was designed for healing.
More light. More intention. More growth.
The team at Peak? They’re builders. Dreamers. Helpers.
It’s the kind of place that inspires you to rise higher.

But before I step fully into what’s next…

I want to invite you into a moment.

Not mine.
Yours.

Take a breath.
Think back to a time in your life that meant something.
A moment that shaped you.
Humbled you.
Lifted you.

Maybe it was the time you got back up after falling.
Maybe it was the time someone believed in you when you couldn’t believe in yourself.
Maybe it was the moment you chose you again.

Let that memory settle in.
Feel the weight and the beauty of it.

Then ask yourself:

What impact has that moment had on who you are today?

Let that reflection be your fuel.

Because even as spaces change and seasons shift,
The moments, the meanings, are what stay with us.

Thank you for being part of my story.
Here’s to the next chapter for both of us.

With deepest gratitude,
Armando

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." – Melody Beattie

A huge shout out to an amazing competitor . She had a tremendous comeback after being in 34th place after the first event.
-
Event 2 and 3 she took first in her heat looking smooth and focused.🥇
-
Event 4 she made handstand walking look like a sprint to finish 2nd place 🥈
-
Event 5 and 6 is really where she shined. She demonstrated the grit that she has. Fighting for each inch.
-
I’ve watched her work so hard the last 3 weeks at . I’m so impressed by her. In the end she missed the games by 1 point. I can’t even imagine how crushing that is. I can tell say that she left it all out there. So proud of you. Keep your head up.

I’ve had the privilege of watching this team train for the past 3 weeks and have been both inspired and blown away by their dedication, teamwork, and pursuit of excellence.
-
They work hard as most teams do but what really stands out is their commitment to the nuances. Things like recovery, precision of technique, warm-ups, communication, synchronicity, and raising each other up are a few that come to mind.
-
It’s not by accident that they won. Team Peak are a class act. They are peak performance. Congratulations on setting the standard.

**Your mind creates your reality.**
I remember as a kid I had nightmares of being all alone in the woods.
It was dark.
A wolf would chase me.
I'd sprint.
My heart would race.
I was trying everything I could to escape...
I never did.
I'd wake up drenched in sweat.
My heart was racing.
Let's zoom out for a moment, all I was doing was sleeping in my warm comfy bed, in my safe climate-controlled house.
Why was my heart racing?
Why was I sweating... it was 68 degrees and I was sleeping without a shirt?

The reason is...

That which the mind believes, the body perceives.
Your mind creates your reality.
Your body follows.

>>Impact on Healing

Above we spoke about how real that nightmare was that it caused my heart rate to spike and me to sweat even though I was safely sleeping in my bed.
Imagine what happens if your story is one of negativity and hopelessness.
Your body will follow that path.
Let's deconstruct the side effects of how negativity and hopelessness affect your healing.

* No Vision

Negativity and hopelessness lead to a dead end. All you can see is the failure. Your world becomes one of absolutes instead of possibilities.
You use words like never, always, nothing, everything.
That could sound like...
"I am never going to get better."
"Everything bad happens to me."
"Everything I try fails."
"Nothing will work."
"I always have back pain."
Your words become the paintbrush of your reality. Use them wisely. If you believe you are never going to get better... the mind sends a message to the body of distress.
A body in distress will constrict and guard against all.

* Contracted & Constrained

In negativity, you hold on to more tension. More tension leads to less oxygen throughout the body. This also leads to stiffness. Stiffness often leads to less movement. Less movement leads to the body oxidizing (think rust).

* Emergency Efficiency

When your body feels under attack it shuttles the blood to the extremities to get ready to fight, run, or protect. The body's sole purpose is to survive these attacks (perceived or real). You're in a heightened state, which drains the adrenal system. This can leave you exhausted and on edge.

>>Solution

I get how easy it is to fall into the pit of negativity and hopelessness.
It often seems like every step of progress you take, the world knocks you back 10 steps.

Progress only seems to get further not closer.
I know this because I have been there.
I know the frustration.
In the beginning, you want to get back to doing what you love.
Things like, I want to be able to run again or I want to play with my kids again.
As time passes you start negotiating with yourself and settling for less.
Can I just sleep one night without pain or can I tie my shoes without pain?
It is a constant battle with the mind and body jockeying for survival.

There is good news...

It doesn't have to be this way.

My wife and I have created a unique system that allows you to go from suffering to unstoppable. It has allowed us to eliminate our clients' chronic pain even when doctors, chiropractors, acupuncture, shots, and even surgery haven't been able to.

You deserve to live life pain-free.

I can tell you that our program is amazing but you will probably not believe me.
Let's skip that part of me trying to convince you. I want you to experience it firsthand for FREE.

We do that by starting with your Pain Profile Analysis so you can...

- PINPOINT: Pinpoint the actual cause of what is causing your pain. I say the actual thing causing your chronic pain because if that was addressed you wouldn't have pain.

Zig Ziglar is one of my favorites.

He has such a great way of framing things.

He said, "Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be."

Success is personal... What will you decide?
