This November, Nicklaus Children’s hosted a Diabetes Family Carnival Day, bringing together patients and families for a day filled with fun, connection, and support. From games and activities to educational resources, the event celebrated the strength and resilience of our diabetes community.

The 12th Annual Fashion Gives Back, hosted annually by Nicklaus Children’s Young Ambassadors (NCYA), had a record-breaking night, raising more than $320K in support of our mission to provide hope and healing to children in our community. Madison, a young adult thriving through her ongoing treatment for a congenital heart condition, shared with guests how Nicklaus Children’s saved her life 20 years ago. 💛

This past weekend, we celebrated the grand opening of Nicklaus Children’s at Davie Specialty Care Center with a community event for families! With this new center, Broward families now have 8 Nicklaus Children’s locations in the area (and growing), providing even greater access to care. Board-certified specialists in cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, orthopedics, plastic & reconstructive surgery, and spine & scoliosis are now available closer to home.

University of Miami wide receiver CJ Daniel and his mom Nathalie Beavers, Founder of Angels of Epilepsy and an epilepsy survivor, visited Nicklaus Children’s to raise awareness and share smiles with our families.

They played games in the lobby, visited patients on our neurology unit, and met the incredible video EEG monitoring team on shift. Thank you CJ and Nathalie for shining a light on epilepsy awareness!
