Summer break is finally here ☀️
For a lot of people, summer feels lighter. No homework, no packed schedules, no early mornings. But mental health doesn’t magically disappear just because school is out.
Some kids and teens actually struggle more in the summer without the structure, routine, and daily social interaction that school provides. Sleep schedules get off track, screen time increases, and days can start to feel isolating really quickly.
A little structure goes a long way:
• Keep somewhat consistent sleep schedules
• Make plans to stay connected with friends/family
• Get outside when you can
• Let rest be productive too
• Check in emotionally, not just behaviorally
