LaPorte County’s program is one of the 16 located throughout Indiana. This program is absolutely free and worth every “smoke free” moment.

The Prenatal Substance Use Prevention Program (PSUPP) is an education program for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, and for families with children in the home. The PSUPP program was developed by the Indiana Department of Health and is designed to prevent birth defects, low birth weight, premature births, and other problems associated with prenatal substance use. PSUPP provides education, referrals, and early intervention for substance use during pregnancy. Staff is available for public education on the possible hazards of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use during pregnancy, and the hazards of second hand smoke for children.
