🐾 This month, our residents, the visiting students of La Lumiere School families and staff were treated to a visit from Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center.

🦉 We got to learn and get some hands-on experience with fun animals to learn about. Did you know that a male Eastern Box Turtle is orange, including their eyes? Neither did we! 🐢 It was a wonderful learning experience for all involved, and we cannot wait to have them back to visit us again!

🌨️ We provided a great lunch to our staff during our first major snowstorm of the year, which dumped 6-12 inches of snow in the area. ☃️ Staff were offered soup, sandwiches, and chips so they did not have to go out in the storm. 🥪

🇺🇸 Thank you to all those who have served our country. This week, we honored our veterans with lunch from Miller's Pizza, a certificate of recognition from Heart to Heart Hospice and some wonderfully crafted cards from a 6th grade class from La Porte Middle School.

Again, a big heartfelt thank you for all those that have served our country and to those who helped us in honoring those residents in our building! 🫡
