HFL is now accepting grant applications for our When Seconds Count – AED Initiative. Nonprofit organizations, schools, and government entities in La Porte County may apply now through June 11, 2021 for an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and AED cabinet and signage. Interested applicants can visit HFL’s website (hflaporte.org) for more information and to access the grant portal.

The Salvation Army is teaming up with Healthlinc to offer the COVID-19 vaccination to residents age 18 and over. The pop-up clinic will take place at The Salvation Army of Michigan City, 1201 S. Franklin Street on Thursday, April 8 from 9am to noon.

Vaccinations will be given on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED basis. If you are interested you MUST call The Salvation Army (219) 874-6885 to receive registration information.
