What a wonderful Nursing Home Week it’s been! 🌸☀️

Everyone enjoyed donuts, delicious cakes from Dunes Hospice LLC, walking tacos from Asera Care Hospice (Amedisys), and sweet treats from Maggie’s Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck.

One of our favorite activities was our silly Duck Hunt, where staff teamed up with residents to search for ducks around the building and win prizes.

The last two day of Nurses Week fun continued with a delicious brunch, gifts, a cookout, massages (thank you Krista at Massage Envy!), and our very own Nursing Olympics! Games included a bed pan race to the door and back without spilling any apple juice, a wheelchair race, and who could put on their PPE the fastest. Congrats to our winners!

Happy Nurses Week 2026! The celebrations are officially underway, and we are having an amazing time honoring our incredible nurses!

Monday kicked things off with delicious iced coffees for everyone to enjoy, and on Tuesday (PJ Day) we played a fun game called “Jammin’ in Our Jammies." Nurses listened closely as songs played over the intercom, and the first person to correctly name the tune won a prize! Thank you to Comfort 1 Hospice for generously providing the iced coffee and the goodie bag prizes!

Wednesday was all about silly treats for Sweets Day, featuring funny goodies, plus beautiful caramel apples from South Bend Chocolate Cafe-MC Lighthouse Place! Delicious!!

We are so grateful for our dedicated nursing team and love celebrating all that you do!
