This is the challenge coin that was given to us by 1st Sgt. Justin McGarvey. He escorted the remains of Staff Sgt. Nicholas J. Governale from Hawaii to New York, and then to us at Village Chapels. This was an unexpected but very appreciated gesture on his part. It states in Latin, frightened by no difficulties. It represents the Wolfhounds, 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry out of Hawaii. Thank you again!

It has been an honor to be part of this amazing journey to reunite the remains of Staff Sergeant Nicholas J. Governale with his parents in Linden Hill Cemetery. We received his remains today at Laguardia Airport from Hawaii. We would like to thank everyone that has made this possible from the Army, the archeologists, civilian staff, and I'm sure many others that we are not aware of. Thank you also to Anthony Veneziano and family for allowing us to be part of this.

This is an eighteen gauge steel, half open, Pieta , sealer casket in silver. We felt the silver color was a welcome change. It does however come in brown and blue with a brushed finish.

Today we are blessed to be at All Saints Church in Brooklyn. This church is another beautiful gem. They just don't make them like this anymore.

A metal strong box was given out to clients of the funeral home, either when they purchased a funeral or prearranged one. I don't know any funeral homes that still do this any longer.

As I said , this is an 18 gauge steel casket from matthews casket company in silver, it is a half open sealer, with a velvet interior. On all four corners of this casket is the Pieta statue, and the last supper on the front and back. This casket has the lock in the front, and you are able to lower the bottom and the top , using the crank or casket key. Matthews is one of the largest casket manufacturers in America and make very high quality products.
