Shaw Home is a non-profit 40 bed Residential Care and 67 bed Skilled Nursing Facility that has served Middleboro and surrounding communities since 1941. The Shaw Home has been rated twice by US News & World Reports in the top 25 Nursing Facilities in the nation and three times by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Customer Satisfaction Surveys as number two in the state. Offering Short-Term Rehab, Long-Term Care, Memory Care, and Residential Care. Today, Shaw Home residents enjoyed a visit from Plymouth County Sheriff, Joseph D. McDonald Jr. and Public Information Officer, Edward J. O’Connell.

Residents and staff gained valuable knowledge including the role of the Sheriff and how he serves our local community. We so appreciate that these two individuals made a special visit and took time to sit with residents answering questions they had and listening to their stories.

How lucky are we to be presented with pins replicating the Plymouth County crest to commemorate our visit!

Thank you again to Sheriff McDonald and Officer O’Connell for coming to see us!

Residents of the Shaw Home have spent the first part of the New Year on resolutions such as moving our bodies more!

We are incorporating fun into our exercise routines with numerous options including dancing, bike riding (stationary, of course!), playing catch with our youngest friends, practicing Tai Chi, and even enjoying a lively game of noodle hockey!

Will you be our Valentine?! 💌

First grade students from Henry B. Burkland Elementary School, recently said, yes! For the fourth consecutive year, HBB teacher, Toby Adams made sure that each of our 107 residents received a Valentine! Shaw Home residents and staff were astonished by each bouquet that was created, cut and colored with love by our first grade friends!
