April is Stress Awareness Month. And instead of offering a list of tips, we want to start somewhere more foundational: what stress actually does inside the body. Chronic stress keeps the nervous system in near-constant activation, which affects sleep, digestion, immunity, mood, and even memory over time.

That's why understanding your stressors and caring for your mind and body are essential.

There's been a lot of conversation lately about how social media affects our well-being, and it's worth reflecting on honestly, especially as we're moving into Stress Awareness Month.

Social media can help us keep in touch with family and friends, find new community, discover new sourdough recipes, and brighten our days with videos of puppies and baby goats.

But it can also fuel constant comparison, disrupt sleep, and keep our nervous systems in a low-grade stress state. The question for us is less about whether social media is "bad" and more about how it's working for us personally.
