Please help spread the word!

There are terrible scammers trying to steal 3SquaresVT/SNAP funds from people, and we need your help alerting people about this scam so they can keep their funds secure. (You can read about this on ESD's News page.)

Please forward this message to your networks, share on Front Porch Forum, etc.

Stop 3SquaresVT/SNAP Scammers! There are scammers calling and messaging some people, telling them that their EBT Cards are "locked" and asking them to call a number to verify eligibility. THIS IS A SCAM.

The state's 3SquaresVT/SNAP agency (ESD, or Economic Services) will never text or call people with this message. The contact number for ESD is 1-800-479-6151.

If someone has been a victim of this scam, please have them call ESD:
o General line: 1-800-479-6151
o Relay calls: 7-1-1
o Interpretation line: 1-855-247-3092
If folks want to talk to a service provider, they can call 2-1-1 and ask for their local Community Action Agency. Older adults can call The Helpline: 1-800-642-5119.

Shaw's Supermarket donated 20 pumpkins to us for this event. Throughout the past 2 weeks individuals carved pumpkins and then on October 30th we finished the last of them, before donating them to UVM Health - Porter Medical Center Helen Porter Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for their Halloween Party.

Peer Support means talking to someone who actually understands — because they’ve been there too. It’s the comfort of not having to explain every detail, the relief of being understood, and the hope that comes from hearing “I’ve felt that way, you’re not alone.”

Peer Support isn’t just about listening. It’s about walking alongside you, sharing hard-earned wisdom, and helping you see the next step forward — even when it might feel impossible.

📞 Call or text 988—and ask about Peer Support to connect with a person who gets you.
