When the tough choice came that it was no longer safe for my grandmother to stay at home, Overbrook was my first choice of where to take her. They helped her with therapy to regain her strength and an atmosphere that fed her mind. They offer many activities to keep the elderly young at heart. The staff is caring and very well at communicating with family. My grandmother is safe, she’s happy, and I would recommend Overbrook as a facility for not only rehab, but for long term care. -Erin Heater

Creative Art enables individuals to experience heightened autonomy and competence, presenting boundless opportunities for creative expression and innovation, ultimately yielding a deep sense of fulfillment and empowerment. Moreover, this engagement reduces stress, contributes to the prevention or delayed progression of cardiovascular disease and dementia, and offers cognitive stimulation, thus combating loneliness, depression, and anxiety. As part of our comprehensive programming, our Activity Department offers Creative Art, among other initiatives. Firefighters in the area have had to contend with extreme temperatures while performing their duties. Recently, Overbrook Rehabilitation Center delivered multiple fire departments, including Pomeroy VFD, Rutland VFD, and Middleport VFD, with cases of water and electrolyte packets to support hydration efforts.
