đź’Ť Celebrating 69 Years of Love, Laughter, and a Lifetime of Memories! đź’Ť
Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone—69 years of marriage for Monroe Village residents, Harold and Anita! Their story began when they were just 14 and 16, meeting at a family wedding (Anita’s brother married Harold’s cousin). After the wedding, life went on for each of them. They continued their education, and Harold served in the army, but it wasn’t until 8 years later—after being “fixed-up” by family—that their love story truly began. Though they weren’t thrilled with the idea of being set up, they agreed to go out... and 69 years later, here they are, with a beautiful family, grown children, grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren (one of which arrived just a few short days ago!).
From raising their family on Long Island, moving to New Jersey as empty nesters, then living in Delray Beach, Florida, to enjoying life back in New Jersey to be closer to family, Harold and Anita’s journey has been marvelous. Along the way, they’ve stayed active, playing golf (Harold even got a hole-in-one!), dining out with friends every day at Monroe Village, and filling their home with beautiful art from their own hands.
Harold and Anita have created a legacy of love, and they’ve stayed happy and strong by embracing the simple but powerful truth: Harold always gets the last word with a loving “Yes, dear,” and Anita’s heart is full of gratitude for the life they’ve built together.
Here’s to 69 years of joy, adventures, and a family that keeps growing! May we all find inspiration in their story of commitment and happiness. 💖
