Copal, Dammar as some call it- resin Premium grade from Indonesia
This is an interesting type of Copal- It is called White Copal or Dammar Gum, which is not a gum but a pure oleoresin because it contains no water-soluble gum.
Dammar is collected from a wide variety of trees and it is in the Dipterocarpaceae family, principally those of the genera Shorea.

Country of Origin: Indonesia (Sumatra)
Form/Size: Natural pieces (larger and smaller)
This copal comes from Indonesia.

This resin has an interesting smell when burned. It is very light with a lemon citrusy smell. and I found it very refreshing. It is basically sweated out of the trees to pull the resin out. It is a light ,whitish yellow color and has a light lemony scent when it is burnt

It has many interesting uses. It is used to make varnish for oil paintings.
It is used to make incense also.
One of its interesting usages is for smudging one's home. To get rid of the "eeby geebies" or bad sorts in an entire house or a room. If you are down and out- burn this resin to give you a bit of an uplifting and bringing light to one's soul. It makes you feel radiant and gives you an "awe" feeling.

Dammar resin is also named cat-eye resin , because it is supposed to lift and brighten the spirit and brings light to darkness of the soul.. Dammar resin is particularly useful to combat sadness, depression and melancholy. It is used in many countries for healing and protection. It is also is said to help balance and protect your physical and energetic self.

Burn it in the incense burners I sell with charcoal or without, on a day or evening where you need that extra uplifting spirit. Burn it when you find the lightness has gone out of your mind for any sad times.
Burn it when you need a pick me up.
Burn it when you want to get any negative thoughts inside your home.

Because it is actually oil soluble it dissolves quite easily in a carrier oil or alcohol which makes it good when making incense or for paints.

Copal Dammar is thought to be food-safe and is used to make Bees Wax food wraps. ALL NATURAL wraps contain organic cotton, beeswax, organic plant oil, and dammar copal resin. You can purchase beeswax wraps online or make them yourself.

I totally agree with her, as one that has studied and research frankincense there is no reason to change the names. It will be way too confusing to know which one to purchase and since both of them have different therapeutic properties what’s the point?. Boswellic carteri grows and a totally different country, with different climate and soil.
Boswellic sacra also grows in a different country and their climate and soil is totally different.
If you look at the GC reports of both of them, there is a different percentage of chemicals in each one and some of them are very different from each each other.
Boswellia sacra therapeutically is excellent for any type of joint and muscle pain.
Boswelia carteri is excellent for any type of skin problems.

While the trees are the same because they grow in different climates and different soil, they are totally different even the resin looks different that the tree produces
Leave the names the way they are there is absolutely no reason to change it.

There are many studies that show that this particular extract may shrink different types of cancer. There is a research paper that is excellent for you to read all about this. It is quite long, but it is very extensive.
