Did you know smiling can trick your brain into happiness? The simple act of smiling can release chemicals like serotonin and dopamine (the “happy chemicals”) that can help increase your feelings of happiness and lower the sensation of stress!
Many times we feel we need to wait for our circumstances to change before we can smile, but choosing to smile anyways might help you feel happier in the moment and may even help your mood in tackling those circumstances that are bringing your mood down.
