• Establish and maintain the standards of the profession by fostering and encouraging continuing education and research to all graduate Anesthesiologist Assistants and enrolled students of accredited programs.
• Represent the interests of the profession
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with other organizations of health care providers.
• Instill confidence in the public by adhering to established ethical norms and legal constraints
• Encouraging the skilled and compassionate practice of anesthesia with respect for human dignity and the rights of patients in their care

A historic step forward for the CAA profession in Washington.

The first Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant license has been issued to Sarah Brown, CAA, WAAAA President, following a ceremony this week at the Washington Medical Commission in Olympia.

The AAAA community mourns the passing of David Paragas, Esq., a founding advocate whose work helped shape the CAA profession as we know it today.

From securing Ohio’s first state license to advancing national advocacy efforts, David’s legacy is one of leadership, passion, and dedication to every Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant.

We honor his memory and his remarkable impact on our profession.
