A new study published in JAMA Internal Medicine suggests there may be an increased risk of dementia associated with gabapentin especially in adults older than 35 years old. Gabapentin is commonly used for chronic lower back pain.

Within 10 years of use it’s been found, there’s a….

29% higher risk for developing dementia
85% higher risk for developing mild cognitive impairment

As always more research is needed to confirm these statistics, but I know I wouldn’t want to be another stat! Check out alternative ways of healing to help with your pain! There’s so many great avenues out there.
