Want to join our team?

Gilda's Club WI is looking for a Program Manager with mental health licensure in Wisconsin. In this part-time role (20-24 hrs/week) you would facilitate support groups, coordinate programs, engage with members and volunteers, and help ensure our programs run smoothly both on-site and virtually.

This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, supporting families facing cancer, creating supportive spaces, and making a real difference in their community.

There’s something special about a day on the course when it means a little more.

Join us for Gilda’s Club Wisconsin’s Red Doors Golf Outing on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Nakoma Golf Club, where great golf meets an even greater purpose.

Known as The Best Tasting Round of Golf, this one-of-a-kind event brings together 18 holes of play with incredible on-course food and beverage tastings, meaningful connections, and a shared commitment to ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.

Every swing, every stop, and every shared moment helps fund free cancer support programs for individuals and families across Wisconsin. Because even in a solo sport like golf, you still have your caddy and community.

Whether you’re gathering a team, entertaining clients, or looking to align your business with a mission that truly matters, there’s a place for you here.

Foursomes offer a memorable day on a private course paired with exceptional local flavors.

Sponsorships provide meaningful visibility while directly supporting a community that shows up for each other every single day.

Spots fill quickly, so we encourage you to secure your team or sponsorship early.

Register your foursome or explore sponsorship opportunities today at
bit.ly/gildasgolf or email Taylor@gildasclubwi.org.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the scorecard, it’s about showing up for those who need it most.

“We’re there for each other. It’s a safe space,” shares Kim, a regular attendee of the new LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support Group. The group meets virtually every month for all those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and have a cancer diagnosis.

It’s one of three support groups recently created in response to member feedback. There is no one-size-fits-all cancer experience, and these additional groups create new spaces for members to share their unique experiences with others who understand.

In addition to the LGBTQIA+ Cancer Support Group, there is also an Early-Stage Cancer Support and Recurrent & Metastatic Cancer Support. The three groups are in addition to our weekly support groups and 10 other monthly groups.

The Spring Match Challenge starts now! Through May 15th, your gift will be matched for twice the impact! Thanks to a generous group of donors, the first $13,000 in gifts will be matched and go twice as far. Your gift of $100 could provide 3 months of care and support for someone impacted by cancer!

Kristin, Gilda's Club member, shares, “I know that every day there are other families experiencing the before and after of cancer, and I desperately want all of them to have the same kind of transformational experience, the sense of community, the sense of being seen and known that my family has gotten through Gilda’s Club.”

Community is always found inside our red doors. Sometimes that looks like people supporting each other through cancer, and sometimes it looks like rolling up your sleeves to help bring a project to life.

With a bit of wood, screws, and sawdust, our mystery project is well on its way ahead of its debut at our Backyard BBQ on June 11th!

We are so incredibly grateful to Brunsell Lumber for their generous donation of materials, and especially to the incredible Mark Packard for going above and beyond by helping with the donation request, assisting with the build plan, and volunteering his time both onsite and behind the scenes to make it all happen… all in 25-degree weather ❄️

This is what community looks like. Thank you, Mark. Thank you, Brunsell. ❤️

The next time you are in the clubhouse, be sure to check out the beautiful glass art honoring our Legacy Circle members!

Thank you to our Legacy Circle members, who have chosen to include Gilda’s Club Wisconsin in their end-of-life giving or estate plans. The care and generosity of this group extends far beyond today, strengthening support for families facing cancer for years to come.

We have to give a special shout-out to two folks who made this project possible: The extremely talented glass artist Lucie Arendt (Lucie Art ), who created this beautiful piece; and our awesome volunteer Bruce Salvo, who helped install it. Thank you for the time, care, and creativity!

Treatment done. Or, almost done. You made it through the shock of discovery, treatment, job changes, hair loss and regrowth. Friends and family came by often – in person, by phone, or by texts. Commotion. But now, cancer is gone – or in (near) remission. Friends and family have mostly returned to their usual activities, and you don’t hear or see from them much. Friends and family no longer expect long answers to the question “How are you?”.

But you don’t feel like you’re “back to normal.” There are two you’s – the Before Cancer you, and the After Cancer you. Nobody tells you this, but there should be two you’s – cancer changes a person. Maybe you were really lucky and your cancer was diagnosed early, removed, with a minimal chance of return. Maybe you weren’t so lucky, and you have a persistent cancer that has changed your body inside and out, and/or there’s a high probability of return. Either way, doesn’t matter. You are still changed.
