Parvati Lina Hanson, E-RYT 500
She started her own yoga practice in her early teens and began teaching in the greater NY metropolitan area in 2001. Yoga has been her main profession ever since. Lina finished the professional level Kripalu training in 2010 and received her Sanskrit name Parvati.
She offers group classes on all levels, private yoga sessions, prenatal yoga, meditation technique, Pranayama, guided meditation, chair yoga, yoga workshops and theme classes for special occasions/celebrations.
Lina feels passionate about teaching Yoga whether it is in larger groups or in private sessions.
In addition to being a Yoga teacher, her experience as a group fitness instructor spans 15 years in the general fitness industry. She has taught a variety of classes such as Body Sculpting, Kick Boxing, Step up and stretch classes etc. Her own physical training background also includes many years of dance and Shotokan Karate.
Lina moved to Vermont from Jersey City with her husband and their young son in 2008. While in the greater NY metropolitan area she also studied and performed as an actress /singer /dancer. Lina came to the US from Sweden in 1997 to pursue her acting career. Singing is still a big part of her life and is something she can bring to Yoga by Chanting.
Currently Parvati is offering most of her classes at Every Body Physical Therapy in Rutland. In Proctor she offers wellness yoga once a week. She is available for private sessions by appointment.
