Daily Card Pull 7/13/22
Cards: 3 of Swords and Garnet
Decks featured: The Light Seers Tarot by Chris-Anne and Crystal Angels Oracle
Of all the tarot decks that I currently have, this is one of the more darker versions of the 3 of Swords I have ever seen, and you know what? It really does hit home with the imagery.
The raw emotions emitting from the card, the heart being pulled into different directions, the darkness of the sky, there is a powerful message here--letting go is a painful and messy process, but the emotional release is necessary!
Maybe you are grieving the lost of a loved one, or the end of a relationship/friendship/toxic family member--whichever it may be, release what you are feeling and let yourself grieve. Yes, it's going to feel like your heart is being torn apart, but holding those emotions in and shoving them away instead of embracing them, only hinders the healing process. Society often paints the picture that we aren't allowed to express ourselves, that crying is a sign of weakness. However the 3 of Swords is all about emotional release, allow yourself to cry, there is no shame in that. No matter how painful it may be, embrace the emotions that you feel rising to the surface. Acknowledge what has happened, and give yourself the opportunity and the safe space to cry, shout, scream--whatever it takes to express your pain, to allow these feelings to process and release them. Being able to express your sadness and hurt is part of the cleansing process of letting go so that you can move forward with a more clear mindset. Remember that this stage is only temporary--eventually the sky will clear and you will feel like yourself again.
Life is going to throw us unexpected situations that will put us in the 3 of Swords position, but remember that these challenges also allow us to grow and develop as a person. The important thing to keep in mind is to never let yourself get so absorbed in the pain that you forget who you are and lost sight of yourself. Acknowledge, accept, release, and pick yourself right back up!
The Garnet card reminds us that self care is important! If you have a piece of garnet, carry it with you. It is a wonderful aid in alleviating emotional disharmony, bringing us strength, courage, and hope.
