This evening, Middlesex Health hosted our Annual Nursing Celebration, a special evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the extraordinary accomplishments of our nursing team over the past year. It was wonderful to come together in appreciation of the compassion, professionalism, resilience, and dedication our nurses bring to patients and one another every day.

Day one of Nurses Week at Middlesex Health was celebrated with a DAISY Award breakfast honoring outstanding clinical care and compassion, followed by a special flag raising ceremony with the Connecticut Nurse Honor Guard, and we showed our spirit with Crazy Sock Day. I am honored and grateful to celebrate our incredible nurses! ❤️

We have been awarded another Grade “A” Hospital Safety Grade by the Leapfrog Group, marking our twelfth straight “A.” The Leapfrog Group is an independent national nonprofit organization that evaluates hospitals based on their performance in keeping patients safe from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. We are honored to receive this recognition and proud of our dedicated staff for consistently delivering exceptional, safe, and compassionate care to our patients.

The past week the AONL 2026 annual conference was held in Chicago, Inspiring Leaders. Over 5000 nurse leaders gathered together to share knowledge, recognize incredible expertise and accomplishments, while focusing on empowering nurses leaders to grow professionally, explore new innovations as we move healthcare forward, together!
