Garnet Health residents Bridget Alaimo, DO (PGY1), Daniel Levy, DO (PGY1), and Tyler Gopee, DO (PGY1), were invited to speak with high school students at Pine Bush’s Summer Medical Academy!
The goal was to help students see that a career in medicine can be fun, achievable, and fulfilling.
Each resident led hands-on activities, covering topics such as ear anatomy and how to use certain clinical tools. Students also learned how to perform a general physical exam, collect patient history, and navigate the path to medical school.
This was an opportunity not only to teach and answer questions, but also to educate students about Garnet Health’s Residency Programs, which include: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Transitional Year Internship.
These programs are designed to prepare residents and students to be excellent physicians by educating them in the fundamental concepts, knowledge, and practical applications of skills taught by a team of dedicated medical professionals.
