We had such a fun day at our Annual Field Day today. Some of our events included Corn hole Toss, egg toss, relay races, basketball free throw, and parachute games. We ended the day with a dance party and some cool treats! We can’t wait for all the fun again next year!

Our pollinator garden is really taking the shape. We have flowers in bloom for the summer andso soon we will have our fall flowers. Our bench has arrived so that people can sit outside and enjoy nature. Thank you to the Community Foundation of Middlesex County and the City of Middletown’s public health grant for helping us to make this accessable garden possible. Stay tuned as our garden continues to grow and attract our pollinators.

Join Us for our next Monthly Repair Café, this Sunday 8/3 from 11-2!
The Reboot Eco Repair Café is a free community event where our volunteer repair experts help fix household items and clothing, keeping them out of the landfill and giving them new life! It’s also a great opportunity to learn hands-on repair skills and sustainable habits that can help you extend the life of your belongings.
To help us create a smooth flow and reduce wait times, we encourage you to book a time slot in advance. When registering, please provide a brief description of what you’d like repaired. This helps our volunteers prepare and ensures we have the right tools and expertise on hand. While we can’t guarantee every item can be fixed, we’ll do our best to help—and you might even pick up some repair skills along the way!
Our Repair Cafe partners and main repair experts are Mister Fix This and Jon’s Repairs. They are able to assist with the following repairs, among others:
- Small household appliances (vacuums, blenders, lamps, fans, etc.)
- Clothing & Gear (rips/holes, broken zippers, frayed edges, torn pockets/straps, etc.)
- We are always up for a new challenge so if you can carry it, sign up for our next event and let us take a look.
Our skilled repair experts are happy to take a look at your items and perform any small repairs during the event for free (payment is required for parts needed to complete the repair). If any repairs require more time or more specific tools, they will recommend a course of action which may be as easy and convenient as them taking it home to repair and return to you when complete. More complex or time-consuming repairs may require a (negotiable) fee to offset labor and overhead. Consider any costs an investment in your community, and a contribution to a more sustainable lifestyle.
Thank you for supporting waste reduction and a culture of repair in our community. We can’t wait to see you there!

In 1955, MARC was founded by dedicated parents who envisioned all people with disabilities as integral, celebrated members of the community. What began as their way of connecting and offering support to one another, soon became the foundation of MARC. Through the years, MARC has opened multiple group homes, created business ventures, started a home ownership program, began a recreation and a self-advocacy group, and so much more! Today we are a multi-faceted organization serving hundreds of adults and children with disabilities in employment, community living, and recreation programs.
MARC Community Resources is also an affiliated chapter of The Arc, the largest national volunteer-based organization devoted solely to advocacy on issues pertaining to individuals with I/DD and their families. On the statewide level we are also very active with The Arc CT. MARC is also proud and grateful to be the recipients of a Middlesex United Way grant that supports our Adult Leisure Program and our outreach and advocacy efforts.
Our Mission
Empower people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) to make their own life choices and aid in the fulfillment of their dreams - through employment, housing, social, and community involvement and advocacy.
Our Vision
We envision that all people with disabilities become integral and celebrated members of the community.
