This past Friday we had our annual Chili Cookoff!
The residents and staff had a hard decision to make - with there being 11 different pots of chili this year! 🤯

Our top two were Gwen’s chili and Bob’s “Grannie’s Garden Chili”. Congrats to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated. We love having this event each year! 👏🏻

One of our dear residents has been asking to go to Reptileland for quite some time, so we finally made it happen for her (plus some other residents also got a positive experience out of her special request)! We stopped for lunch on the way and enjoyed time with some pretty amazing creatures. Thanks for the memories, Reptileland! 🐍🐊🐢

This week we celebrated Mardi Gras with a Fasnacht/cupcake walk, jazz music, and festive handmade masks and decor! Check out Craig’s extra festive hairdo 😜 We hope everyone got to indulge a little extra this Fat Tuesday!

As if a Wedding ceremony was not enough to celebrate Love, we also shared a special Valentines Dinner together, featuring a beautiful Italian meal, an amazing talent, Giovanni, and time with one another. We Love all the Love at Our Middletown Home ❤️

Today, two of our married couples renewed their vows in a very special ceremony~ celebrating each other’s endless love and proudly declaring “ I still do.”

One of our fish lovin’ residents suggested we take a trip to “That Fish Place, That Pet Place”, so we had to make it happen! It was an enjoyable afternoon together and we had fun visiting the different pets that were available for adoption. Great suggestion for a trip!

On Sunday, we hosted a very special screening of the film, Lonely. This is a beautiful independent film (produced in central PA) highlighting the major impact loneliness can have on one's life. Following the film, we had a great conversation and reflected on the ways WE can make a difference, through "seeing" each other and making intentional connections, with kindness.

At The Middletown Home, we believe that we are BETTER TOGETHER-- and we truly are. ❤️
