On 12/2/25 at 12:14pm we were dispatched to a multi car crash on RT 17 East of Exit 116. Upon Arrival 62-01 assessed one patient to be in serious condition and requested Ems to expedite. After the intial assement Town Of Wallkill Pd arrived and immediately helped rendering aid with our volunteers on scene till Ems care was transferred to Town of Wallkill EMS. Circelville Fd responded and also assisted on scene. We remained on scene assisting with traffic control at TOWPD request. TOWPD was able to secure the traffic control detail after approximately 2 hours on scene and released us to respond to a separate property damage mva. Thank you to our Volunteers (Fire and Ems) and our Police agencies for all the hard work during these winter weather related incidents.

We are looking for a Driver to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, as well as planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car to transport clients; we provide drivers with our own vehicles.
Responsibilities

Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
Report any issues with the vehicle

Skills

Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices and tablets

Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
Class E driver license with agreement to upgrade to CDL C
Clear criminal background check

Position open for full time driver Monday through Friday. Clean Driving record required. Class C with passenger preferred but can hire Class E with understanding to upgrade during employment. Must be able to assist passengers with walkers safely in and out of vehicle. This is a productive service to the community. Riders depend on Joy Transportation helping them access to much needed medical care. This contact could be fulfilling as you are helping others as a occupation.

This is an on the books position not a subcontractor arrangement.
