My Dear Friends & Valued Patients,
I find no simple way to tell you this, but Lisa and I have decided to close our chiropractic office in Middletown effective 3/21/25. It is an inevitable reality which pursues every chiropractor, and in the end, the physical nature of this job takes its final toll. In my case, elbow and wrist ligament limitations, have forced me to read the writing on the wall. Given this reality, Lisa and I have allotted considerable time and money to locate a qualified replacement, yet have been unsuccessful in our search which has ultimately forced us to make a “Leap of Faith”.
Walking away poses a terrible dilemma, considering most of you feel more like family than patients. It is true, chiropractic has been a blessing for me and my family. It has allowed me to care for patients in a very unique way without the reliance upon drugs and surgery. Yet, given our quandary, we feel a desire to spend quality time with our family and embark on this new adventure together. Quite simply, “Life is Short”.
To transition and support our patients with upcoming treatments, Lisa and I will continue to treat patients until 3/14/25. During this time, we would be happy to provide necessary records (if available) such as, Summary of Care reports. If you do not request these records, no need to worry, rest assured X ray and MRI records are always available at Newport Hospital or at the treatment facility where generated. Most of our daily “handwritten” notes will be less valuable, considering that any new practitioner will likely generate their own exam notes/findings given their unique practice style and methods.
In the event, you request any records, please allow our office 7 days per request to provide for office pick-up.
Please be advised there is a fee ($) for copying these records. In most cases, a one page summary will suffice and will be provided free of charge if requested. This should do the trick! Due to HIPAA consideration, no medical notes or records will be mailed which will ensure confidentiality.
We wish you all the health and happiness that life has to offer. You have been an incredible part of our lives over the last 30 years. Please feel free to keep in touch and we will do the same. On behalf of my wife Lisa, it has been a true pleasure serving you…….we will miss you all!
Best Wishes and Kind Regards,
Dean Janssen, DC
