James L. Maher Center Life to its fullest. That's our mission. We're about community. Finally, we are so grateful for the support of our community.

From employment support, to creative and recreational activities, to transportation and residential services, we help people with developmental disabilities enjoy life and help to build a more inclusive world. Our Maher Center team supports people with developmental disabilities in envisioning and creating full, happy lives that reflect their individual interests and aspirations. In the process, we enrich life on Aquidneck Island and throughout the East Bay by helping members of our Maher Center family work, volunteer for other nonprofits, participate in civic activities, and contribute in so many ways to the cities and towns in which they live. Your charitable giving, your volunteerism, and your faith in our mission makes it all possible. Together, we're making the world a little brighter for everyone - every day.

We can’t say it enough — THANK YOU to the incredible Watchkeepers LEMC for spending your Saturday volunteering at our Family Fun Day! Your energy, kindness, and helping hands made the day brighter, smoother, and so much more fun for everyone who joined us.

And an extra big shout out to everyone who came out to shop, support, and celebrate with us! Because of you, our community continues to grow in joy, connection, and possibility.

The group is selling beautiful holiday wreaths (and trees!) that support programs for adults with developmental disabilities. Pick one up, brighten your home, your day, and support a great community partner. Open daily 10–5!
