From physician to patient in a matter of moments.

Dr. Katharine Campbell was working an early shift in the Emergency Department at Middlesex Health when her water broke. Without missing a beat, she made her way upstairs to the Pregnancy & Birth Center - where, a short time later, she welcomed her baby boy.

It’s a story that captures so much of what makes health care special: being there for one another, in every moment that matters.

Now raising three young children, Dr. Campbell embodies the strength, adaptability, and dedication that define so many moms.

Happy early Mother’s Day to Dr. Campbell - and all the women who give so much of themselves, every single day. 💫

It’s a very special week at Middlesex Health, one where we celebrate our incredible nurses and recognize the compassion, dedication, and exceptional care they provide every day. Today we had a DAISY Award breakfast to honor all of our nominees and DAISY Award winners, followed by a special CT Nurses Honor Guard Ceremony and flag raising. It was also Crazy Sock Day. We will have many celebrations all week long in recognition of our nurses and all that they do for our patients, families, and community. ❤️

This event highlighted how hospitals and community partners are working together all across our state to connect people with essential resources and improve health outcomes. 🏥
