Job Overview:
Children In Balance Psychological Associates, LLC, in collaboration with The Center for Self-Care, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for clients as they begin their therapeutic journey. At CIB & CSC, we offer a range of mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment services to children, adolescents, adults, and families, focusing on a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach. Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a positive and empathetic intake experience.
• Manage the intake process, including processing demographic and clinical information.
• Coordinate client scheduling, ensuring the efficient flow of appointments.
• Collaborate with management to facilitate outpatient referral requests.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring clients understand their coverage options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including charting and record requests.
• Assist in treatment coordination and other client care tasks as needed.
• Prioritize client-facing tasks and ensure all interactions reflect the organization’s commitment to quality care.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or a related human services field. A High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant experience in a medical office or call center may be considered as a substitute for the degree preference.
• Experience: Preferred candidates will have prior experience in medical office or intake call center operations and/or insurance eligibility verification. Strong project management skills and a detail-oriented mindset are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: basic understanding of Excel are required. Proficiency in Google Suite/Workplace a plus. Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
• Interpersonal Skills: The successful candidate will be organized, able to prioritize effectively, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A high level of professionalism and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. This is an independent work environment.
