This young 3 yr. old young man greeted me for his check up with the most relaxed and confident pose I have ever seen from a patient in the dental chair. What a champ!! He gave me a fist pump on the way out and left with flying colors. It was the best possible way to end our work week!

The first snowfall has fallen and left a picturesque, wintery landscape for our eyes to feast on; just in time to authenticate that the Holiday season is on the horizon. Despite 2020 being a grim and despicable year, our office overcame hurdles, navigated potholes, and emerged intact. We'd like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you, our valued patients and supporters, for your tremendous show of confidence, support, and trust in us over this time. We wish you and yours a Happy Holiday season and look forward to seeing you in the office in what we hope will be a bright and promising 2021!

Dear Patients and Supporters,

We hope everyone is keeping well and safe. This long weekend marks the official transition towards the final 10 weeks of the 2020 calendar year and the holiday season. As expected, we have already seen an immense spike in new and existing patient requests for appointments. To accommodate this demand, we have created additional NEW PATIENT, CLEANING, and EMERGENCY CONSULTATION appointment times in November and December. Please call us at 401-846-9660 if you are interested in:

1) becoming a patient of our dental practice and family
2) getting a cleaning and examination that may have been postponed due to the pandemic shutdown
3) maximizing your 2020 calendar year dental insurance benefits

With concerns of the pandemic lingering overhead, we continue to operate our office and take care of patients with vigilance, safeguards and guidance from the Rhode Island Dept. of Health, the CDC, and the American Dental Association (https://www.drpatildental.com/covid-19-info/8235622).

Dear Patients and Supporters,

We wanted to share a few updates since reopening our doors. Patients who visited the office for dental care over the past 10 days have shared positive feedback regarding the additional new safeguards within the office (see below). In return, we must extend thanks to those very same patients for respecting and observing those necessary guidelines put forth, and indirectly promoting the safety and well being of everyone in the office. The strength of our reopening was a total community effort! Thank You!

Phase II of the Rhode Island reopening protocol begins June 1st. During this time, our practice will continue to operate under the reinforced protocols already in place while offering all levels of dental care to patients.

One final thought. We respect and appreciate every patient’s sensibilities and preferences during the COVID-19 health crisis. Our communications are intended to raise awareness and reassure our patients that we are here for you and that we have you, your family's, and the community's interests in clear focus. This includes providing excellent dental care and maintaining good oral and overall health in the safest environment possible. This is no different than how we have always operated, but today we are setting even a higher standard. We always value your continued support and loyalty.

Dear Patients and Our Community.

As of March 18th, we are temporarily closing the doors to our office as part of the large-scale effort to mitigate, contain, and control the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This decision was facilitated by the recommendations made by the Rhode Island Department of Health, The Rhode Island Dental Association, and State Officials. We hope to reopen for normal routine patient care within 3 weeks.

In case a patient of record has a dental emergency, please call our main office (401-846-9660), leave a message with our answering service, and an on-call dentist will call you back.

We will be coming to the office periodically during this hiatus ONLY to tend to administrative needs which could include – returning patient messages, rescheduling previously booked appointments, etc… You can contact us at the number listed above and leave a message with our answering service or send an email to drpatilaafd@gmail.com.

Again, please realize we did not make this decision lightly. In the end, the decision was made with the health and well-being of our patients, our families, our dental team, and the entire community in mind. We together need to defend, protect, and prevent against the COVID-19 pandemic and minimize risk.
