Today at StoryPoint Middletown, Chef Dave *literally* set the kitchen ablaze with his epic Bananas Foster Split demo! 🔥👨‍🍳

From the high-flying flames to the sweet, creamy finish, it was an afternoon to remember! Not only did Chef Dave walk our residents through the steps of making this delicious dessert, but he also took them on a trip down memory lane, sharing the fascinating history behind the iconic banana split —a treat that’s been delighting taste buds for over a century! 🍨🍌👅

We’d like to extend our gratitude to our incredible Culinary crew for helping Chef make this dreamy treat a reality and to the Life Enrichment team for making it a fun, interactive experience! 🙌😋🍴

Our residents enjoyed choosing from a variety of mouthwatering toppings to build their perfect banana split, and their feedback is already fueling ideas for our next demo! We’re so grateful to have such an engaged and enthusiastic crowd. They truly make every event even sweeter! 🫐🥜🍌🍫🍒🍪🥥

At StoryPoint Middletown, our second on-site Farmers Market was a fresh burst of energy - every booth brimming with community, creativity, and all the best that Middletown has to offer! 🌼🥕🍅 🍞🧶🧸🥩

We were thrilled to welcome an incredible variety of local vendors right to our front porch, offering everything from farm-fresh meats and just-picked produce to hand-cut flowers, houseplants, baked goods, and one-of-a-kind handcrafted treasures. And let’s not forget the amazing contributions from our own talented resident artisans and makers, who continue to inspire us with their creativity and passion!

This market wasn’t just about shopping — it was about connection. Connecting our residents and staff with the greater Middletown community, supporting small businesses, and celebrating the amazing talents right here within our own walls! ❤️🏡

What’s better than a warm cup of tea?
A beautifully brewed afternoon with friends, laughter, and a touch of elegance! 🫖💫💐

At StoryPoint Middletown, our monthly Ladies Tea was a truly tea-rrific affair. From delicate teapots spilling over with flower arrangements to soft pink tulle draped ever so gracefully over every surface, every detail was designed with love and care! Our beautiful garden tea scene on the big screen, accompanied by soothing jazz, set the perfect tone for a relaxing, yet lively afternoon. ☕️🎶🪴

The tea assortment was a perfect blend of flavors to delight every palate. From the rich sweetness of vanilla caramel to the zesty kick of lemon and ginger, and everything in between, there was no shortage of selection! Whether sipping a fragrant, floral infusion or a classic Earl Grey, each cup was as warm as the company we shared. And the pastries—oh, the pastries! Sweet strawberry danishes, cinnamon almond treats, and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies kept everyone coming back for just one more (or maybe two, or three!). These delicious bites and sips paired perfectly with laughter, party games, and good conversation, making the afternoon even sweeter! 🍋🍪🍓

The highlight of the event? The wonderful connections made. Long-time residents and new neighbors mingled, shared stories, and laughed together. Some left with full bellies, others left with new friends and cherished memories. 💭

We’d like to give a HUGE shoutout to our Life Enrichment team for hosting this event, and a special thanks to Lydia, our Life Enrichment Assistant, for transforming our 2nd-Floor Activity Room into an enchanting space that our residents couldn’t stop raving about! Lydia’s hard work truly made the occasion unforgettable! ✨🩷

At StoryPoint Middletown, August (a.k.a. Pet Month) is all about curating paws-itively purrfect moments for and with our community! 🐶🐱

This unforgettable outing to our local Animal Care Society was the pawfect way to kick off this month of furry fun! From belly rubs and playful cuddles to heartfelt words of encouragement, our residents showered the cats and dogs with love, making connections that were as warm as they were meaningful.

The shelter’s layout allowed us to get up close and personal with the animals, creating an immersive experience where we could really connect. We’d like to extend our gratitude to the staff for not only showing us around, but for sharing so much valuable info about the incredible work they do! Their love for these cuddly companions is undeniable. ❤️👏

We may have found our forever home here at StoryPoint Middletown, but we’re sending all our love and best wishes to these sweet animals as they embark on a very special journey to find a furever home of their own! 🐾🏡💌

Happy National Root Beer Float Day from StoryPoint Middletown! 🎉🍦🍺

We’re still floating on cloud nine after our recent Barbershop Chorus Bash, during which The Thoroughbreds serenaded us with some classic tunes that had everyone in harmony! 🎶 ☁️💈

The ice cream floats paired perfectly with our spread of classic soft pretzels and popcorn. We could hardly resist this salty-sweet combination!🥨🍿

After the show, our residents had a blast chatting with this talented group of gentlemen, asking great questions and making some note-worthy connections! 🎤🎵

What a sweet day filled with music, treats, and lasting memories! ❤️💭

Our Life Enrichment team went above and beyond, transforming the Bistro into a beautifully patriotic and welcoming setting and serving our veterans and guests with care and gratitude.

Today, we rolled up our sleeves to create some tail-wagging goodie bags in honor of National Get Out of the Doghouse Day AND National Craft for Your Local Shelters Day! Our incredibly dedicated and thoughtful residents packed toys, treats, and adorable adopt-me bandanas into each bag—sending love and support to furry friends at a local shelter and veterinary clinic! 🏥🐶🐱

We’d like to give a huge shout-out to the amazing StoryPoint residents who put so much love into crafting these paw-some bags! Not only did they spread joy to animals in need, but those with pets even took home goodies for their own furry companions! 🏆👏✨
