Today, the StoryPoint Middletown family took a beautiful autumn outing to Gallrein Farms, and it was magical from arrival to departure! 🍎🚜🌾

The drive alone was a peaceful country escape—rolling hills, quiet roads, and trees glowing with red, orange, and gold. 🚌🍂⛰️

Once we arrived, the fun truly began! The Market was filled with the irresistible aroma of fresh-baked desserts, sizzling kettle corn, and warm spices drifting from the Gallrein Farms Café—we couldn’t help but take home a few delicious treasures to share with friends! 🎃🍩🛍️

After soaking in the sights and scents of the Market, we gathered for a cozy, hot lunch right on the farm— a perfect way to relax and recharge before jumping back into all the excitement. 🥪🧺

Feeding goats at the petting zoo brought on lots of laughter, thanks to the goats' playful antics! 🐐🤪

We also made time for plenty of photo ops throughout the gorgeous grounds, capturing memories that we’ll treasure forever. 📸❤️

And the fall fun didn’t stop there! After returning home, our residents jumped right into an afternoon painting session, creating stunning fall landscapes featuring birch trees adorned with vibrant leaves. We explored fun techniques to give texture to the bark and depth to the colors—each masterpiece is now a beautiful, seasonal addition to their apartments. Today at StoryPoint Middletown, we had the privilege of honoring our very own Chef David Waddell for his incredible achievement – winning a Bronze Medal in his FIRST-ever culinary competition! 🥉👨‍🍳🙌

But that’s not all—Chef Dave recently passed a rigorous exam and is now a Certified Dietary Manager and a Certified Food Protection Professional! 🎓🍴📝

Chef Dave’s passion, dedication, and talent were on full display, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him as part of the StoryPoint Middletown family. ❤️🏡

The best part? Chef took the floor to share his inspiring journey with our residents, who gave him a standing ovation and heartfelt thanks for the unforgettable meals and moments he creates every day. 🍽️👏💭

Today at StoryPoint Middletown, we turned the volume up on joy during our Mocktails & Music hour, and it was truly one for the books! 🎚️🎶

The incredibly talented Third String Symphony returned to serenade us with an electric and showstopping performance that had the room buzzing with energy, laughter, and connection.
With nearly 50 residents in attendance, we may have hit our all-time high for happy hour participation—WOW! The room was filled not only with our amazing residents, but also with visiting family, long-time friends, and new faces alike, all brought together by the power of great music and even better company! 5️⃣0️⃣🫂

Attendees sipped on a refreshing variety of mocktails, tapped their toes to the beat, and sang along as the symphony played their contagious tunes. It was a joyful reminder that at StoryPoint Middletown, togetherness is always on the menu! 🍹🕺💃

We want to give a warm shoutout to our Life Enrichment Department, whose heart for hospitality shines through in every event. And an especially big THANK YOU to our Life Enrichment Assistant, Lydia, whose dedication to the resident experience was on full display. From welcoming guests with a warm smile to flawlessly manning the crowd, her servant heart and attention to detail helped create an atmosphere of celebration and comfort for everyone involved! 🏆🌟

It’s moments like these—filled with music and meaningful connections—that make StoryPoint Middletown more than just a senior living community. It’s a place we’re proud to call home. 🏡❤️

Wheel Wash Wonderland at StoryPoint Middletown! 🛞🚿 ✨

As part of our “From Rail to Road” celebration for Day 2 of Generation of Innovation Week, our residents rolled into the spotlight for a one-of-a-kind Wheel Wash event in our sun-kissed courtyard! 🚂➡️🚘

We took a joyful cruise through time — from the days of trolley bells to the freedom of the open road — and gave our residents' wheelchairs and walkers the VIP treatment! 🦽🧼

Bubbles filled the air thanks to our impressive lineup of bubble machines, guns, and wands! 🫧

Our residents’ rides got polished and shined to the nines! 🧽✨

Tasty "road trip" treats like traffic light brownies, pinwheels, and ice cold beverages were served along the way! 🚦🌀🍹

A joyful "parade" rolled through our courtyard, surrounded by bubbles and cheers! 🛣️🎉

This wasn’t just about clean wheels — it was about celebrating the generation that helped drive the transformation from railcars to roadways, shaping the Middletown community we know and love today. ❤️

What a fantastic way to kick off the fall season at StoryPoint Middletown! 🍁🍂🌾

We are so thankful to everyone who joined us for our Fall Festival—neighbors, friends, family, and all of our wonderful residents who made it truly special. From children and grandchildren to old friends and church buddies, your energy and spirit made this event unforgettable! 👥💭❤️

Our apple cider tasting experience was a hit, with three unique flavors to sample—each more delicious than the last! And who could forget those warm, fresh “wagon wheels”, served with a smile by one of our beloved residents?! 🧃🍩✨

There was truly something for everyone to enjoy! Kids and adults alike lined up for our vibrant face painting station, where each brushstroke turned into a masterpiece. 🎨🖌️

The laughter was nonstop at our bouncy house, as little ones jumped and tumbled in pure joy, their giggles filling the air. 🎈✨

Meanwhile, the pumpkin patch was brimming with excitement—families wandered through, picking out the perfect pumpkins and then heading straight to our painting station to unleash their creativity and personalize their fall treasures. 🎃 🧑‍🎨

And the apple launching station? Let’s just say, there were some seriously impressive bullseyes, with guests aiming for the target and celebrating their victorious throws with high-fives all around! 🎯🍎

The cozy autumn vibes were set with an autumn oldies playlist that kept the mood light and festive. 🎶🎧

Snow cones were a crowd favorite—festive, flavorful, and refreshingly cool. They were the perfect treat to beat the unexpected 90° heat, offering a sweet escape that kept guests coming back for seconds (and thirds)! 🍧☀️🌡️

We’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our residents and staff members who poured their hearts into making this day a success! Your hard work and dedication were felt by everyone, and we couldn't have done it without you. 👏🌟

The StoryPoint Middletown community had an incredible day at Puttshack - Louisville! ⛳️🌟

We spent the day soaking in great company, a little friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. The courses were full of twists and turns that had even our seasoned golfers scratching their heads—proof that even the pros can be stumped by a good challenge! 😄🏆

This outing was extra special as we welcomed some first-timers who were experiencing their very first resident outing with us! Check out the last photo for a glimpse of the hands raised when we asked who was a first-timer—nearly half of today’s group! 🙌🤩1️⃣

Who’s hungry for a challenge? Our StoryPoint Group chefs are!✨

The 1st Annual Senior Living Culinary Challenge is here — an American Culinary Federation competition celebrating the passion, creativity, and skill of chefs redefining dining in senior living.

We’re proud to have 10 StoryPoint Group chefs competing alongside peers from across the industry, all showcasing dishes that bring comfort, joy, and flavor to the seniors they serve every day.

The competition will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the GFS Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI.

Our community was alive with energy during our Monday night Mocktails & Music event, featuring the incredibly talented Third String Symphony! Their spirited performance had our residents clapping, dancing, and singing along from the very first note to the finale. 🎸🎶👏

The room buzzed with excitement, joy, and connection—a truly unforgettable experience! 💭⚡️🗣️

One especially touching moment? A resident couple took to the floor for a slow dance, and the wife shared, “My husband hasn’t danced with me in over 30 years.” ❤️ That’s the magic we aim to create here at StoryPoint Middletown—opportunities for rediscovery, joy, and meaningful connection. 🫂✨

We’re beyond grateful to Third String Symphony for bringing their electric energy and heart to our community, and to our amazing Life Enrichment team for keeping spirits high with mouthwatering mocktails, delicious snacks, and even jumping in for a few dances of their own! 🍹🍿🕺

Not only did they volunteer their time to lead one of our residents' favorite activities, but they went above and beyond—bringing a generous and impressive variety of festive fall décor, tasty seasonal treats, and even some everyday necessities. 🍁🎃🧁🪒🧴

Their generosity, thoughtfulness, and genuine care for our community never go unnoticed. They always take the time to interact, accommodate individual needs and interests, and make our residents feel seen and appreciated. ❤️

Today at StoryPoint Middletown, residents scored front row seats to Chef Dave’s Cooking Demo, and it was delizioso from start to finish! 🧑‍🍳💋

Chef Dave and his incredible Culinary crew wowed residents with a rich, creamy carbonara—a classic Italian dish with humble Roman roots that journeyed through post-war Italy all the way to American kitchens. As pans sizzled and stories simmered, Chef kept things fun by testing doneness the old-school way: tossing noodles at the wall (they stuck, of course—cue the victory pose)! 🏆🍝

Residents didn’t just get a delicious taste of Italy—they got to engage, ask, and influence what’s coming next during a lively post-demo Menu Chat with the Culinary team. No one left hungry, and everyone left smiling, with full bellies and a new recipe up their sleeve! ✨🍴

Today at StoryPoint Middletown, our Ladies Tea was an afternoon of elegance, laughter, and unforgettable memories. The beautiful, vibrant decor, thoughtfully designed by our Life Enrichment team, set the perfect tone for the event. From dainty teacups and saucers to floral napkins, every detail was designed to make our ladies feel special. The teapots, overflowing with stunning floral arrangements, were the cherry on top of an already picture-perfect setup. 📸✨

To enhance the ambiance, we had a serene nature scene playing on the big screen, complete with a calming waterfall and tea cups in the foreground, while soft jazz music filled the air, adding a touch of sophistication to the atmosphere. ⛲️☕️🎷

We’d like to extend a big thank you to our Culinary team for creating an unforgettable spread! They served up delicious finger sandwiches—pimento, benedictine, and chicken salad—along with an array of sweet treats, including brookies, brownies, and danishes. They also provided hot water for the tea and made sure our guests were well taken care of throughout the event! 🧑‍🍳🥪🍪

As the tea flowed, so did the fun, with lively party games played for door prizes! In one game, saying the word “tea” was strictly off-limits—any time a player slipped and said the forbidden word, another player could sn**ch their card! The goal? To collect as many cards as possible over the course of the hour. The lady with the most cards at the end won a special door prize. This had everyone getting creative with their wording, especially when it came time for refills! 🤫🎁

To add to the excitement, we secretly placed a little, red heart under one of the chairs before the event began. At the end of the hour, we asked the ladies to check underneath their seats. The lucky lady who found the heart beneath their chair walked away with a door prize, making it a sweet random moment of chance! ❤️🪑💐

Beyond the games and prizes, the best part was the joy and camaraderie shared among the ladies. They caught up with old friends, created new memories, and even invited family members to join in on the fun—one guest brought her daughter along to share in the laughter and delight. 💭🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

This monthly tradition is one our residents look forward to with excitement! It’s a time for connection, laughter, and creating beautiful memories together - just another reason we love calling StoryPoint Middletown home! 🏡 🫖✨

This morning, our residents took a delightful trip to the Middletown Public Library to renew library cards, explore new reads, and check out a few favorites—just in time for the launch of our brand-new, resident-led Saturday Book Club!
