Your hip flexors do more than you think.
They drive your stride when you run.
They stabilize your core when you lift.
They tighten up when you sit too long.
They’re the link between sitting, standing tall, and just moving well.
Stretching & strengthening them keeps you moving freely — from workouts to daily life.
Here are 3 stretches to try:
1. Straight Leg Raises
2. Banded Marches
3. Seated hip flexions with KB
👉 Save this and give your hip flexors the attention they deserve.

Looks simple, but the curtsy lunge challenges your balance and control in ways a standard lunge can’t. 🙌
Tracy K., proud member of the Essex Running Club, is putting in the work with curtsy lunges to bulletproof those knees so they’re always race-ready. 🙌
By stepping outside the straight line, you train muscles that protect your joints and support stronger, more resilient movement. Skip the basics? Your body won’t let you. Start here.
If you’re a runner, try adding this into your routine. 👊

Back surgery ain’t got nothing on David. 💪
Less than a month ago, he crushed a 14-mile hike WITH a 20lb vest and finished 4th in his group at Lake Rickabear in Kinnelon, NJ! 👏
A huge win and an even bigger milestone. We’re so proud to be part of your journey, David! 💙

When your knees are stable, every squat, jump, and step becomes more efficient and powerful.🔑
Knee stability isn’t just about the joint itself…it’s built on hip and core strength. To produce power, and control in every movement, we have to start with stability above the knee.
✅ 1/2 kneeling isometric lunge with high to low cable chop → rooted in core
✅ SL hydrants → emphasis on pelvis staying on the floor
✅ Anterior step down to posterior lunge → emphasis on knee staying neutral with transitions
Stability above the knee = more force, less pain, and long-lasting confidence in every step 💪

Sports Parents 📣 📣
If your kids have been pushing hard during the fall season and things can start to break down.
But how can you tell if it's time to leave the wishful thinking, ice and ibuprofen behind and book a PT eval to uncover what's really wrong & how to fix it?
Our 2-min student athlete quiz will answer that question ➡️ ironpt.com/studentathletequiz
We know how important it is to keep them healthy and strong while they're out there running, jumping, and tackling.
Some injuries are more serious, but you'd be surprised how quickly these young people can heal when issues are addressed early.

When we opened Iron Physical Therapy in 2011, we dreamed of creating something radical -- highly personalized healthcare.
We believed people were as tired of the big box approach as we were. We believed that seeing only 1-2 patients per doctor would result in faster pain relief and better outcomes. We believed that athletes (or aspiring athletes) would respond positively to being treated by other athletes. We believed in the human potential to Get Better and Be Better. This slogan is at the core of everything we do! To read more about our motto, click here. We are so grateful to be part of a community that has so warmly embraced this philosophy.
We are a boutique clinic with a soul!
Iron Physical Therapy is a warm and inviting place where you can get out of pain and become stronger than you ever thought possible. If you have been disappointed by other practices ("mills") that rush you through cookie cutter treatment, then you will be pleasantly surprised.
Our model is rare in physical therapy, but we know that spending extra time to assess and connect with patients as a whole person results in lasting wellness. We believe rehabilitation is the ultimate partnership! Our goal is to provide immediate results and ultimately long-term recovery through highly skilled assessment, one-on-one treatment, re-education and really listening to your story.
We will help you overcome fear and obstacles so you can leave physical therapy feeling inspired, energized, and optimistic about what you can accomplish.
