The power of journaling may be underestimated. I tell my clients to keep a daily record of their meals ( not necessarily the calories) and how they feel. Then we start implementing food swaps, ditching high carbs and processed foods. That also applies to drinks. Check out my client K. He kicked his Coca Cola habit to the curb. Went from 24 to 12 to 6 oz to zero/day. First time since his teenage years he is not having a daily coke. That’s a transformation!!!

Have you ever tried hearts of palm/ palmini “pasta”? It’s a gluten free, grain free alternative to wheat pasta. The recipe texture is a bit firmer, but the taste is good! To be honest, the taste of spaghetti, fettuccini, angel hair comes not from the plain pasta, but the sauce and protein we pair it with. Same for palmini - I used olive oil and the sauce from the garlic buttery shrimp. Plus the shrimp and basil. Yummy!😋

After hiking the Manistee River Trail I couldn’t resist the “strawberries Urka Farms” sign. So instead of going back to the tent and sweating at the campsite, I went to fields and picked some delicious strawberries. It was hot and windy, but I found cold water at the Urka Farm. The strawberries were so sweet and juicy, can’t even compare them to the ones from the store! ❤️🍓🍓
