Saying ‘no’ isn’t selfish, it’s self-respect.
Boundaries protect your peace, your time, and your energy.

Start small: say no to one thing this week that doesn’t serve your well-being.

It's a new year, and one of our therapists, Jason, shares one of the things that he goes over with all clients during their first session.

Have you ever been nervous about taking care of your mental health and reaching out for therapy services? Now is the time to schedule your first session with us by reaching out at https://www.partnersinchangemichigan.com/contactus ❤💪

Our team is setting intentions — not resolutions — for the new year.
Intentions focus on growth, not perfection.

What’s one word you want to carry into the new year?

12/31/2025

We don't necessarily agree with setting New Year's resolutions, however, we can get behind wanting to start new habits in the new year that can bring about a healthier you 💪❤ Jason, one of our therapists shares a good mental health habit to start in the New Year! 😃

As the year winds down, try reflecting without judgment.

Ask yourself:
• What helped me survive this year?
• What did I learn about myself?
• What do I want more of next year?

Reflection is about awareness, not criticism.

If the holidays left you feeling emotionally full, or emotionally drained, both are valid.

There’s no ‘right’ way to feel this season. ❄❤

Be gentle with yourself as you transition back into routine.

As this holiday season continues, we want to take a moment to wish everyone peace, warmth, and moments of joy, however you celebrate. 💙

This time of year can be filled with connection and meaning, but it can also bring stress, grief, or exhaustion. Wherever you find yourself today, we hope you’re able to pause, take a breath, and care for yourself in the ways you need most.

May your days be filled with kindness, reflection, and moments that feel grounding and joyful. From all of us at Partners in Change, we’re wishing you a holiday season that feels meaningful, gentle, and bright. ✨

12/23/2025

Holiday gatherings can bring connection and maybe for some of us, overstimulation too!🎄

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, try this:
✨ Step outside for fresh air
✨ Take 3 slow breaths
✨ Give yourself permission to leave early

Protecting your mental health is not rude, it’s necessary 🎁❄

We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity shown to a Partners in Change family this holiday season. What began as a simple request for support for the holidays from a family at PIC, quickly turned into an overwhelming outpouring of kindness, care, and community spirit 💙

A very special thank you goes to UWUA Local 564 from the Midland Cogeneration Venture, who went above and beyond, contributing over $1,200 from their own paychecks and reaching out to local businesses for gift cards to help make this season brighter for this family in need. Their compassion and commitment truly embodies the meaning of community.

While the businesses who donated gift cards wish to remain anonymous, we are thankful to the Brandt-area businesses who quietly and generously stepped up for this family to bring them joy this holiday season. We would also like to recognize MCV/Capital Power for their support and partnership in making this possible.

And most importantly, thank you to the UWUA Local 564 members — your generosity, teamwork, and heart made the biggest impact for this family. Acts like these remind us that care doesn’t stop at our office doors; it lives in the connections we build with one another.

From all of us at Partners in Change, thank you for helping make this holiday season warmer, brighter, and filled with hope for one of our PIC families that we serve. We are deeply grateful and touched by this outpouring of support and so thankful that the communities we live in are so positively wonderful!
